Tracked
Today, I noticed that on the calendar in my boyfriend’s apartment, for every week of the months when I have my period are coloured in red and over them, in block capitals, he has written 'BEWARE'. FML

Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my boyfriend asked me to start using a period tracker app so I can tell him which week of each month he needs to "stay the hell away" from me. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me that he could predict my periods because he keeps track of when I'm at my bitchiest each month. This wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't so accurate. FML
Today, my boyfriend is threatening to dump me if I don’t give him all the details of my menstruation so he can track my periods with an app on his phone. FML
Today, I went on a first date. We had the same phone, and we'd put them down next to each other on the table. I get a message and we both look. It’s my period tracker telling me to be careful, because the floodgates are opening. FML
Today, my boyfriend caught me in a lie about being on my period. He memorized my menstrual cycle, but still forgot that today is my birthday. FML
Today, I was showing the guy I like something on my phone. My period tracking app decided it was the perfect time to tell me that I need to stock up on tampons, because I'm getting my period tomorrow. FML
Today, my boyfriend flipped out when he saw a period tracker app on my phone. According to him, chicks only use those when they want to know when they’re the most fertile so they can “baby trap” a man. I have irregular cycles. The app helps me know when I should or shouldn’t expect a period. FML
Today, my boyfriend clearly stated that I was "useless" when on my period. FML
Today, my boss called me in to have a serious talk. The "serious talk" was him asking me to notify him of my menstrual cycle ahead of time so he can "avoid that shit". FML
Today, the moment after hitting "confirm payment" for my boyfriend's valentine gift (along with some sexy lingerie for the occasion) on a shopping app, my period tracker app popped up to let me know I'll be well into my period on the 14th. I'm getting cockblocked by mother nature herself. FML

That's actually really funny. Seriously though, it's a good man that pays close enough attention to you to know your cycle.

He has a paper calendar?

People use them as a visual reminder. Your calendar on your phone isn't open all the time, but a hanging one at home is always visible when you enter the room. Visual reminders are much more reliable for upcoming dates than a reminder that's swiped away on your phone. :)

I mean, as a woman I use one for tracking mine, why shouldn't a BF/husband do the same if he wants? Also lets them know I will be more emotional leading up to and during that time! 😂

I don't see anything wrong, if you were such a bitch on your periods that he had to do that.

I'd think this is sweet in a backhanded compliment kind of way. He's aware of your cycle, and just is more careful around that time. My periods were horrible and my mood swings were too, talk to your doctor to see what they recommend to help alleviate the symptoms.

While I understand hormones can affect our mood, I have to disagree that it is always the case. I don’t have those experiences personally. When you stop to monitor, you’ll notice your mood will be “off” on random weeks as well. It isn’t all just “period”. I feel that things are too often blamed on periods, and sometimes undermine a real reaction. I’ve seen a lot of men “overreact” weekly, but there’s no “period” ofc. Let’s not blame periods so much, or use them as “oh you’re just on your period” sort of minimizing. I think it depends from person to person though - some may actually be severely effected. So I am not saying it cannot happen. Perhaps in your case, it is a thing OP. Although the placebo effect of “oh I’m supposed to be bitchy this week” can also affect one’s mood and behaviour.
