Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I found out my soon-to-be husband and father of my unborn child is already married to another man. FML
Today, my parents finally got married. At the after-party, my mother got drunk and informed me that even though she and my father were now married, it doesn't change the fact that I'm still a bastard. FML
Today, I found out that my father, who very recently lost his wife, decided that drunkenly hitting on my long-time boyfriend's mom was a good idea. FML
Today, I met my fiancé's parents for the first time. The only problem was that I was highly intoxicated. FML
Today, I married the love of my life. I was ecstatic until the wedding reception, where my new husband got drunk and started crying about how he'd been "forced" into marrying me. FML
Today, I met my husband's other wife. FML
Today I'm second-guessing getting married because my husband was wonderful to my family, but horribly disrespectful and rude to his own family the whole day. FML
Today, I found out my newly-divorced father is now going to marry my girlfriend's mother. Tough situation here. FML
Today, my father in law drunkenly announced at dinner that he wished my husband had married my best friend. No one stuck up for me. Not even my husband. FML
Today, my husband came home drunk off his ass at 2am. He started crying on my shoulder because he couldn't go home with some beautiful woman who hit on him, because sadly for him, he's married to me. FML

Set a boundary and expectations. If he can't make you the priority, get out.

He sounds codependent, see if he'll go to Al-Anon (it's for those affected by loved ones' alcoholism)

You can tell him his parents are adults and he can't keep enabling them, that you should be his priority now. Hopefully he will listen to you but if not, time for an annulment/divorce.

What gives you the right to demand priority over his parents?

The fact that they are married and hopefully trying to build a future together. Also, him enabling his parents is not like he's helping, he's doing the opposite. He will likely lose them to alcohol and the spouse due to neglect.
