Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I realized my husband is a completely different person than when we married. It’s only been three and a half years since we eloped. FML
Today, I learned that my husband and I share the same taste in men. FML
Today, I met my husband's other wife. FML
Today, I realized I'm very much in love with my old boyfriend. I got married to someone else a few months ago, who I also very much love. FML
Today, I met my wife's other husband. FML
Today, I realised I may need to work on my marriage when I saw my husband in public, laughing and smiling with his coworkers, then when he saw me his smile disappeared and he stood up like a tired old man to come and speak to me. FML
Today, I figured out why the man I've been seeing for 3 years hasn't asked for my hand in marriage. His current wife called me and told me all about it. FML
Today, I was left at the altar. For the second time. By the same man. FML
Today, I found out the man I've been wanting to marry for a year and a half wants us to take a break. FML
Today, after 6 years of dating, 2 years of marriage, a daughter and another one on the way, my husband decided that he’s "not the one for me" and told me he was leaving for his co-worker who he’s only known for a few months. Apparently they’re more "meant to be." FML

You probably should have "realized" this before you got married. YDI for marrying someone you don't want to be with.

Did you know the person reading this, the person who gives a damn, and your therapist are 3 different people too?

Morons. Pull your heads out of your asses and realize that the world is not as pretty and simple as mommy and daddy promised. Being chaste and careful does not promise you a happy life, any more than being slutty indicates an unhappy life. Keep your ignorant judgments to yourself until you know a little more about the world.

Umm, she never said she had sex with the guy who wants to be with her or the guy she wants to be with.... Infact, sex was never mentioned.

Uh... marriages do fall apart. People change, their wants change, etc. My parents were married for 20 years, and divorced 2 years ago. Shit happens man.
BlueBomber 0
The "shit that happens" in these cases, as I said above, is one form or another of selfishness/laziness. It's terrible that your parents got divorced after 20 years, but if they made it that long and then got divorced then one or both of them stopped trying.

How dare you? My parents needed to get divorced. As a ten year old child I would lay in my bed all night listening to them spew venom at each other and PRAYING for their divorce. You really think young children should be subject to that? Because I certainly ******* don't. So you can take your self-righteous, judgmental ass and jump straight off a cliff.

I was in the same situation as #202....Except I wasn't praying because I wasn't ever religious :P . Now I'm 14 and I know that as long as my mom's actions didn't change my dad had to be spewing venom at her (She's truly despicable, if you want stories to prove it then I'll give you them.) and they'll be divorced soon. And, the only reason they were ever in this hate-filled marriage was the kids, although I guess that turned out being a good thing since it's the only reason my dad's gonna probably get custody. But, if he had custody at the begginning we wouldn't have the stressful financial problems we have, the yelling , or my mom passed out on the couch whenever she's not partying with her cousin.

I wasn't religious... it was a figure of speech =] Any you're only 14? Seriously? Well, you're one rad 14-year-old Mike.

okay. why are you guys jumping to the conclusion that she CHOSE her husband? maybe it was arranged? Christ. give people the benefit of the doubt, you trolls.
cheesesoda 0
I'm not sure how often arranged marriages occur in Australia, but I can't imagine it's a significant percentage of marriages. It'd be a much more likely scenario that she DID choose her husband. Is it entirely possible it's an arranged marriage? Sure, but when you're faced with two choices, it's probably best to choose the simplest and most obvious answer.

Haven't you realized yet that no one's perfect? You make do with what you got, or in this case, who you got. You can't have it all. You really have to quit living your life through romance novels. And just in case you don't know, Twilight is NOT based on real life. It's fiction. plain and simple. Jesus H. Christ, you women need to wake up.

How did twilight get dragged into this? But I agree, she should do what she thinks is right.

You're right. Only bad things happen when people from the south try to think....

mercyFML, on teh interwebs I believe it's called fap. As for the moron who posted this shit, stfu. "Oh I'm so original. I make sweeping, incorrect generalizations of the opposite sex and then attempt to insult them by bringing up some pop culture reference that I assume they all believe is real! I'm sew awwesommme! I pwn bitches so hard I never get laid!" Yes johnny2x4, all women everywhere live their lives by romance novels. Lastly, you do not have to "make do with who you've got". There are more than 300 million people in the US. Divorce is incredibly common. You lose.

why is he your husband than if niether of you wanted each other????

To be honest, you deserved it for marrying someone you didn't love/who didn't love you.

People fall in and out of love all the time. There's no reason to assume they didn't love eachother when they got married. Things happen, people change. There's really very little room to judge the OP here, depending on how they proceed to handle the situation.

Yeah this is the story of my life (without the marriage thing)

Lol

To everyone assuming OP married a man she didn't love, it's very possible that she and her husband were very much in love when they got married. My parents were in love with each other when they tied the knot, but over the years they grew apart and began to dislike, if not outright hate, each other as time went by. So just because OP doesn't love her husband now doesn't mean she never did.
