Today, I went to my favorite restaurant with my mother. The food took a little longer than usual to arrive and my mom threw a fit, complete with kicking and screaming, in the middle of the restaurant. My mom and I are both banned for life. FML

Today, my mom and I went out to a fancy and expensive restaurant per her request; she told me it was her treat. After we ate our meals and the large check came, she excused herself to the bathroom. She didn't come back. I was dine-and-dashed by my own mother. FML
Today, my mom and I were escorted out of the KFC because my mom tried to mug and pick a fight with another customer. FML
Today, at the restaurant I work at, my own mom refused to give a tip and complained to my boss. FML
Today, my 45-year-old child of a mother made such a dramatic scene over finding a hair in her food that the initially apologetic owners ended up kicking my family out. FML
Today, I went to eat with my girlfriend, her parents and my mother. My mother complained about every aspect of the service. When I told her she needed to assert herself, she took her pocketbook and hit me over the head. The whole restaurant stared at us while she yelled "Is that assertive enough?" FML
Today, my family are refusing to go out to eat with me anymore. Apparently, me liking my food cooked a certain way infuriates them because it delays our order, and makes the wait staff hate us. FML
Today, I went to a restaurant that I always go to, and one of the cute waiters gave me a discount. My mother called me a whore in the middle of the restaurant, then slapped me when I cried. FML
Today, my dad and mom and I were going out to eat dinner. My dad wanted a romantic dinner just with my mom so he told me to make an excuse not to go. I did, which ended up as a huge fight, grounded and phone taken away. My dad just stood there in the background putting thumbs up. FML
Today, I was dining out with friends. I saw a mom instructing her young child to go to empty tables and take whatever cash had been left. I discreetly told the manager. He confronted the woman and pointed right at me. As she was being thrown out, she tossed a very heavy mug at my head. It hit me. FML
Today, my family and I went to Olive Garden. Due to my autism, I sometimes have a nervous tic, which presented itself while I was looking at the menu. I would have appreciated it if my mom hadn't then screamed at me to stop in front of the entire restaurant. FML

Why did you get banned for life? Put on a fake mustache (or shave yours off if you had one at the time of “the incident”) and you’ll be ok as long as you’re not with your mom. For safety, bring a different older lady and pretend she’s your mom. The staff will never guess its you.

For better or for worse you've got to take your mom's side in this case because ultimately it was the restaurant that took too long to bring the food and so it was their fault. If anything, your mom did the right thing and although she slightly overreacted but any prudent person would have. So it was your favourite restaurant, look at the bright side, you get explore more eateries now. Just tell your mom not to lose her temper quote so easily next time on small issues! After all, family comes first as they say?

If that were my mother or any other family member doing that in public I would be livid and embarrassed. You don’t get any right to treat workers like that, especially when it’s not a waiters fault or when there is a slow order because of a previous order. You don’t know why the orders were delayed but you don’t freak the f**k out over it. Her reaction is not justified. It is childish and shameful.

Have you ever worked a job before? Its not easy. Its completely possible that they merely were overcrowded. Or too busy. It's not the end of the world if your order doesn't come in soon enough. Their mother had no right to act in the manner she acted in. I can excuse it, if she isn't in her right mind. But when people work hard for you, you should be respectful of that. I can see someone politely informing their server they didn't like the wait. But throwing a fit is childish and shameful. Manners are a thing.
