Bad advice

Today, my boyfriend was really stressed about a guy he works with being a jerk. I told him, "If you ignore something long enough, it won't bother you anymore." His response was, "I've ignored my herpes for a long time but it still bothers me." We've been having sex for 3 months now. FML

You should have had him get tested first.

And that's why they give all these classes on safe sex. All for naught, apparently. Condoms. Look into them. Testing. Look into it. Also, your bf for the fail. Good honesty there, jackass.

He should of told you before sleeping with youu. or mayb he was jokin? if nt, then if i was you i wudnt have sex with him again.

I love it how everyone here thinks condoms will do the trick in preventing herpes. If you ready anywhere...they don't. So start popping valtrex :-S sorry

# 76 I know it's pretty stupid of everyone eh? I'm pretty sure we're going to get a lot of herpes themed FML's with this bunch

My ex didn't tell me she had herpes, or that she used to be a hooker. I found out almost a year and a half after we'd been *******. I got tested immediately and every 6 months since. I'm clean so there's hope for you.

ugh thatt totally sucks!!! you should get tested, and totally dump ur bf... also, u should have used condoms, and find that type of stuff out before you have sex with him

THATS ****** UP FAIL!

#74 " you should get him tested" ...he's not a puppy. she can't drag him to the clinic on a leash. she needs to get herself tested. or himself. i don't judge.

#13: you're an idiot. it's the law that if a couple is sexually active, and one has an STD that they must inform their partner. If they do not, and their partner contracts their STD, they can have multiple charges against them. perhaps consider an education before you make an idiot of yourself.

LOL at 13. and i'm guessing you think rape is legal as long as they're unconscious?

Sue him, it is against the law to do that, it is your right to know whether he has STDs or not
