Awwwww

Today, I worked such a long shift at Panera that when my boyfriend called later, I answered, "It's a fresh day at Panera Bread in [town], this is [name] speaking. How may I help you?" He thought it was hilarious. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

Happens to me all the time. I work in a restaurant and we have to walk around this corner between the front and the kitchen. So we yell "corner" every time we walk through it to avoid bumping into someone. I caught myself saying it out loud in a crowded grocery store.

what's wrong when he thought it hilarious?

If he thought it was so hilarious (well, it is, sorry) maybe your boyfriend should give you a back and shoulder massage to make up for it after such a long shift :)

I do this all the time. Sometimes I even slip and do my previous job too. I just go with it lol

I always say "jake from state farm, how may i help you"

What are you wearing, Jake from state farm?

probably kakhis

You sound hideous.

I've done that too, except I worked at AutoZone. I worked there for so many years even 1 year after I left I kept doing it.

I have done this. I once caught myself giving the name of a place I had not worked for in years. Sometimes your brain takes over and you just have to go along for the ride.

Eh sometimes? Do I dare ask what body part is in charge usually?

You probably don't want to know.

Ugh...I know how you feel. After a while I just started answering phone calls with "NO THIS IS PATRICK." Even after years of being fired from the Krusty Krab.

I'm sorry, but this is funny!

I work at toysrus and have actually said to customers "welcome to Walmart, how may I help you today" with a dead serious look on my face not realizing what I said. lol

Yeah I did that a couple times when I was very tired.

One time my friend called me after my work shift and I instinctively said "Thank you for holding, is this pickup or delivery?" It happens to the best of us OP
