Not necessarily 12. Although op is not dead, he could've been stabbed in the intestines causing op to have a colostomy bag the rest of his life, or something else that greatly changed his life. Hope you're ok op and that nothing was damaged or life changing for you!

OP only made the mistake of turning his back. Otherwise good on him for sticking up for himself. Just never turn your back on them until their unconscious.

Wow that's crazy, OP you shouldn't try calling someone's bluff like that if they are threatening you let alone threatening you with a weapon some people are stupid and crazy these days and don't play around.

If someone's nuts enough to walk up to you and say they're gonna stab you for no particular reason, they're probably crazy enough to carry through with it
