Today, I was playing a video game that required me to hunt a few animals. My mom walked in, saw what I was doing, then went into her psycho vegan mode and started yelling at me. She basically grounded me for "murdering" pixels on a screen. FML

Overbearing much?
Today, my mom caught me playing Mortal Kombat and had a fit about the violence, saying she read violent video games turn young people like me into mass murderers. I’m 29 years-old with my own flat and she still tries to treat me like a dumb impressionable teenager. FML
Today, my father told me I was becoming violent because of the video games I play. I was playing Minecraft. FML
Technologically challenged
Today, once again, my mom chewed me out for, “playing games on the computer all day.” I’m not playing, it’s 3D modeling, and it’s my job. FML
You OK hon?
Today, my normally very modest and prissy mom came home, pissed off about something. I asked her what was wrong, but she wouldn't say, and snapped at me to "fuck off." She then grounded me for "making" her use that kind of "vile language." FML
Today, my mum yelled "Son of a bitch!" as I narrowly beat her at a game of Mario Kart. I jokingly yelled back "Hell yeah I am!" Now I'm grounded for two weeks, birthday included, all because my mum's a sore loser. FML
Crossed Animal
Today, just like every other day, my mom has prioritized doing chores and chatting with her neighbors above even talking to me. This would be fine, if it wasn't in Animal Crossing. Apparently, a lifestyle video game is more important than me. FML
Today, I was playing a game with my family where we had to say the name of an actor/actress that started with a certain letter. When I said mine, my dad grounded me because he knew it was a pornstar. Now my mom is mad at my dad for watching porn too. FML
Today, my mom tried to ground me. In the apartment that I own. Because I didn't eat enough of the dinner that I'd made. FML
Today, my vegan step-mom found out I ate at McDonald's yesterday. She gave me hell and asked me how it feels to give money to "murderers". All while my dad sat quietly by because he's too whipped to speak his mind. It wasn't even her house a month ago. FML
Domestic
Today, my mom tried to ground me, even though I moved into my own flat to escape her. I told her 'my flat, my rules' so she tried to confiscate my Xbox because 'she’s the boss of me.' The look on her face as the cops took her away was worth the shouting match we’ll have when she makes bail. FML

It's obviously Assassin's Creed 3 if you read his name. That is a pretty funny/****** up scenario though, sucks for you for having such a psycho mom

Pray tell #46, but how do the creatures in any Fallout game even remotely count as "animals" anymore?

Buy her a mink coat and tell her it's puppy fur for Christmas.
Zimmington 21
Mmm McDonald's
doodieman 9
But McDonald's isn't even real meat.
EMTchic 14
How would eating McDonald's spite her? Everyone knows its not real meat. It's that "pink" stuff.
ironichalibut 24
"pink slime", catchy name if you ask me
CharresBarkrey 15
66 - It's still real meat. The pink slime is basically the entire chicken ground up and bathed in ammonia.
Lachiew 11
No its not. I've seen the in side of the Australian processing plants. They're be identical. its real beef, chicken, pork & fish.
lifesucks1217 6
there is no pink slim in McDonalds meat its 100%beef more healthy than most places
BradTheBrony 19
That "pink stuff" (why the **** is PINK of all words in quotes?) is meat, just ground the **** up. Or are you trying to tell me that sawdust isn't wood, droplets aren't water, and snow isn't ice?
abnormalbird 11
I call it mystery meat.

I dont think this FML is real. a vegan in texas. ok, and then not being used to Texas's BBQs slaughter houses but is pissy about your game?
simplyblades 10
Tell her to shut up because its just a video game and you're not even killing real things.

Virtual meat is murder!

Yeah I'm a vegetarian and I still play video games
AH1Zviper 15
So, your mother grounds you for killing animals on a screen, but other parents happily let their 12-year olds kill people on Call of duty. I would say kudos to your mother for actually caring.
CooperRage 13
If that's the case, shouldn't she have known about that game before he acquired it and stopped him getting it? Her going off like that show's she had no clue what he was playing in the first place.
AH1Zviper 15
He probably bought the game with his own money. Maybe that's why she never knew in the first place.
dmattimeoj 12
yeah you´re right because what you do in video games totally correlates to what you do in real life. personally, i know that ever since i was a kid i now jump on every turtle i see, then pick it up and bowl it at mean people thus knocking their legs out from underneath them. plus, every time i see a brick i try and smash it with my head to retrieve the gold coins inside. had my mother stopped me from playing vidoe games maybe i wouldn´t get such frequent headaches.

The person who bitches about killing has an attack helicopter as a profile pic and a bio too rediculous for words...

@5 Oh you are one of those people. You know, I have been playing violent video games for 24 years now, and yet I (and literally millions of other people) somehow manage to get through an average day without committing any acts of violence. It's a total mystery how we do it.
mvc3ftw 17
Well i guess since i grew up playing MK and Killer Instinct, i should throw myself at someone and shocking them while yelling unintelligable phrases eh 5? (hooray Raiden!..."ALEIYALEIYALEEGAAAHHH!!!!"*flies while yelling*)
mvc3ftw 17
Oh,and i'm pretty sure those people who went on shootouts like those two from columbine or the guy from virginia tech had some sort of mental problems or were on meds. They would have snapped regardless of whether play played video games or not.
lifesucks1217 6
I 100% agree #5

If it's Skyrim, just mod the animals into tasty looking asparagus and she will be pleased. The Dovakhiin has never been healthier. Or hipster. "Yea I learned this shout once, you've probably never heard of it"
Shadowvoid 33
I modded all of my enemies to be mudcrabs with mustaches that cursed like sailors.
Zimmington 21
Mmm asparagus
_DudeGuy_ 16
Op's name would suggest they were playing assassins creed 3
juwood 7
Could it not have been Far Cry 3?
redbandit9877 12
I don't know why so many people overreact this way to video games, it's really ignorant.
olpally 32
Your mom is a dumb ass vegan.
shaww 28
slaughter a chicken in the backyard tomorrow (when she's watching) and tell her to cook it
Zimmington 21
Mmm chicken
dhaworth93 8
any one else love this guys name?? lmao
SaturnV 25
Assassin's Creed reference? There's a fair amount of hunting in the latest installment of that series.
Axipiter 24
I figured it was Farcry 3, but that's probably because it's the only game I've played with hunting recently, so I could be wrong...
MotherOfFack 3
haha. i thought i was the only one who noticed!
Katy326 10
Assassin's Creed is what I first thought of before noticing the name.
