Today, I heard my daughter scream at my son through the bathroom door "Are you jacking off in there or something?!" and him scream back at her "Shut up you F*ing cunt!" My daughter is 7 and my son is 8. FML

Actually, you're right~!
I learned the middle finger at school at the lunch table in grade 1 >.>
But I learned most of my swears form my parents.

What sort of vulgar environment are you raising your kids in? Or is it simply the way our schooling system has come to nowadays... FYL & YDI.

Where on earth are they learning to talk to one another like that?!

#10 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:06pm by imkendra

lol I think you should talk to their principle... unless you talk like that normally, they might have a really negative influence in school

#11 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:06pm by WhyMe1_2_3

Wow what great parenting there. YDI

#12 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:06pm by dan0

everyone assumes this is bad parenting, i'm a kid and can swear fluently if i want to but i sure didn't pick any of it up at home. i remember when i was 6 i told my dad "f*** you" i didn't know what it meant, i got it from a friend. back off, you don't know them.

#704 - On 06/22/2009 at 10:18pm by ThUrSdAy13th

Lol, they grow up fast huh?

#22 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:08pm by anonymous2323

Y'know, they don't start structuring vulgar sentences without being exposed to it more than once. The fact that they're saying that shit means that your violent screaming matches with your partner are being overheard and you're a terrible parent

#23 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:08pm by murderoticadam

I know right.. Kids these days are getting worse, because parents these days are getting worse..

Seriously, I believe most parents these days aren't getting the job done right.. Maybe the world is too big a place.. But, when something goes wrong, they look for a quick fix.. E.G. All the retards suggesting disciplines for the kids..

It's good that you can teach a 7 and an 8 year old not to swear, but they shouldn't even know those words in the first place..

My suggestion: Find the PROBLEM and get rid of it.. My first guess would be T.V. It's kinda obvious.. (The problem never started at school)..

four kids running around
ages 3,4,5 and 9 all swearing like an angry driver
we still do ;)

#32 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:10pm by Wasabithing

whoa. i don't believe that for one second. more like "my daughter is 17 and my son is 18", no?

#33 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:10pm by warmfuzzy

The fact that they are using them in the proper context tells me that they hear this kind of thing often, and I wouldn't assume it's only from school either...

#34 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:11pm by daarlingdamsel

they learned it from somewhere...most likely you...

#35 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:12pm by mtnbikedude4

#44 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:15pm by HeyyyBrahhh

They probably learned this at school, but I think the parents forgot to teach them not to say such things (or at least not in front of adults).
I mean, I learned a lot of bad stuff at school but I would had never dared to repeat it near an adult (even an adult I didn't know). Parents didn't do all their job, that's all.

#45 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:15pm by UsingLogic

You should be a better parent tbh.

#46 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:15pm by Klairyyy

You should've taught them better. YDI.

#47 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:16pm by nadirecur

@ 40/plexico GRATEFUL DEAD
haha this is really funny, guys hes not a bad parent, his kids were just exposed to this, probably not by him

Aren't kids sooooooo cute

#49 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:18pm by textme

Eh, I knew that kinda language when I was 11, and my parents never swear (not even now that my brother and I are 13 and 18 and know everything there is to say). These things tend to start younger every year, so I'm not surprised that it's gone down to 7 and 8 since then. Not really FYL or YDI...more like ATR (amused the readers).

#50 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:18pm by LH0026

: 3

they are sooo adorable !

#51 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:18pm by LesYeuxDeDario

i learned 99.9% of all "bad" words at home....which is where most kids learn them.

#52 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:18pm by krs1234

YDI
You should have raised them better. My parents always told me to be respectful and that there is no reason for children to be swearing. Now I'm 15 and I still don't.

#53 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:19pm by wowfmlife

#34 - kids get about 50% of what they learn from their parents. the other 50% is the other environments/situations they are being socialized in (school, friends, peers, media, etc.)

#54 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:19pm by d805

Well, I don't want to jump to conclusions, but kids normally learn
from their surroundings. I'd say they've been exposed to either
bad parenting or bad surroundings.

#55 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:19pm by whoahanna

Children usually learn stuff from their parents...

#56 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:19pm by pleasedonttellme

Children learn what they live. I would watch the language you and your husband use. This one is your fault.

#62 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:21pm by fxdxhk90

You people got to stop blaming public schools. Even if a kid hears that word once they will use it. They think it's being grown up. But eventually they grow out of it. When I was in intermediate school people would talk like that all the time. But now in high school no one does.

#63 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:22pm by WFMS

Wow, I really hope you're not raising your kids to talk like that and treat other people like that. Be a better parent and watch your young kids better.

Bad mom indeed... I wonder they heard this from.

Sneeze.

#72 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:26pm by yaintime21

for everyone yelling at him for being a bad parent, think. if these were words he considered mundane enough to be part of his everyday speech and the kids picked them up from him, he would not consider his life fucked. obviously he's embarrassed, which suggests that they did not learn those words from him. if he didn't give a damn about it, then he would be a bad parent. duh.

#73 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:27pm by tko

arent kids just darn cute these days

#74 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:27pm by Yoyo_jsrf

Ok your not nescisarily a bad parent. All kids cuss. Just wash they're mouths out with soap and spank them for foul language. If they ask why you can cuss (if you do) than say because your an adult. And all people who say that why I said to do is child abuse, get a life. Teachers used to be able to beat kids. Punishment shows them that it is bad, an they need to stop. Don't shelter your kids or your screwing them up even more. I know from experiance on all these points (yes I'm a kid, but a teen).

#75 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:27pm by badabing94

Seriously, you should slap them for using language like that
lay down the law
and keep an eye on what they watch

#76 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:28pm by xHaniffax

haha lil fuckers

#77 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:29pm by ccyto

Excuse me #1?

It's not ONLY public schools.

My public school acts like a private school because it's so organized and rich...but it's not a private school.

You must be reffering to public school in NYC or something. Get a life!

#78 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:29pm by happygoluckyhh

LMAOO!!!

I honestly don't get what the big deal is with kids talking like this. Lets be honest. They are gonna learn it all in a few years anyway. Its not like you can shield them from ever hearing bad words or vulgar slurs these days unless you move your family to an Amish community or some shit like that.

#79 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:29pm by amykillswitch

they've picked it up from somewhere, probably a film or hopefully not their parents or school. just sit them down and talk to them about it, but tell them that swearing is bad and all that stuff.

#80 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:30pm by pearls

Beat them with a belt. I'm being 100% serious, we don't need to hear language like that from children.

#81 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:31pm by Malexhe

sadly that is what the world has come to.

#82 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:31pm by Everlost

lololololol, and u deserve it

#83 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:31pm by Bashar

#1 it's not just public schools it's private schools too, I've been in both. Please know what you're talking about before you open your mouth and point the finger. Also, I don't see why nobody I blaming the person who clearly deserved it. He/she needs to establish that those words are never OK, obviously has not done that, YDI.

#84 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:32pm by BulldogQB4

Cute kids. Dont worry im sure theyll mature overtime

#85 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:32pm by deadlydairyfarme

#93 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:37pm by SOMsLadyLove

I blame our school teachers, television, and vulgar music. Yep. None of the blame rests on the parental units whatsoever.

#94 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:37pm by HteaXtrainC

Damn the sux.

#95 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:38pm by darkmis1

I learned all that in school

It's not always the parents fault, just limit their internet and tv.

thats the best they can do.

#96 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:39pm by SergioFML

I think it's your fault. do a better job raising them

#97 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:39pm by AppleMasterJR

I'm sorry but some parent you are. #93 is completely right. And #96 it's not necessarily where you learned it from but if your parents corrected you and taught you to NEVER say stuff like that. That's the parents' job. Not the school's or TV's.
Sorry but YDI.

#98 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:39pm by nuclear

Yeah they probably heard that from you.

#99 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:39pm by h2m

I'm going with YDI for raising a handful of brats.

#100 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:40pm by Hydra

Yeah, you seriously need to lay down the law with these kids. Regardless of whether they heard that language from you, school, or the TV, they need to know that it's absolutely 100% inappropriate for them to be using that language, and that if they do, they'll get punished for it. Don't let them get used to getting away with things like that, ESPECIALLY at such an early age.

#101 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:40pm by CheshireAna

Get. Family. Counseling. Now.

And stop taking them with you to "R"-rated movies.

#102 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:41pm by ptmcg

Probably your fault somehow.

#103 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:42pm by Velorium

Bad parenting...

#104 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:42pm by poiuytrewqlkjhgf

regardless of where they learned this language, at least it happened at home and you can talk to them about appropriate language (hopefully) before they say something so inappropriate in public...and if they talk like that in public already, then it's time to start washing mouths!

#105 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:43pm by spartan_girl

i TOTALLY no what your talking about but i started cursing when i was 9 u just hear it from school big woop but dont let him call her that because she can tell somone and ull get in trouble so dont let him say that ESPECIALLY if hes 8

#106 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:43pm by floopyears7

That a fact #88? I rarely curse, it's only used to get a point across really.

#107 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:43pm by BulldogQB4

That early in life, any learned behaviours like those are your fault. Way to fail as a parent.

#108 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:44pm by Roto13

YDI either you have been using those words n phrases around them so they started using them too

OR

You never told them not to say them even if other people do and that you shouldn't fall into peer pressure

#109 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:44pm by PinkityPink

To be fair, if your 7 year old daughter was screaming at your son through the bathroom door about jacking off, she was being a fucking cunt.

So the verdict: daughter needs medication son was just making an observation.

#110 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:44pm by thugbert

wow. you really need to watch what tv or movies or music they listen to. I think its your fault personally. you need to monitor what your kids say. the first time those words were said, they should have been punished.

#111 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:44pm by Emmakate09

Hhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahhahah!

#112 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:45pm by Nakedsquirrel

Wow
I knew what was "jacking off" when I was 14.
And "cunt"? Lol, like 3 years ago.
Yes, blame the internet.
But YDI fail parent.

#113 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:45pm by bosco_kk

i swore when i was like 6 to try and make myself seem older.. but never did i do it in front of my parents OR learn it from them. i definitely got it from the older kids at school.
a kid swearing does not necessarily mean "bad parenting"...

get over yourselves

#114 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:45pm by dreamsmean

that's horrible. i thought my 8 year old cousin saying "bastard" was bad. i didn't even hear the word cunt till i was like 12 or 13!

#115 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:45pm by ohxberlin

Holy crap! I didnt start cussing until i was like 13. But nothing like that! I know kids are hearing things like that cuz i once knew a 5 year old who said fuck but he didnt know what it meant or that it was bad

#116 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:46pm by AdamGD

Cannot believe the amount of people who say FYL. Really you are a terrible parent if you can just blame school and TV and let this garbage slide. Me being the Christian teacher I will become, swearing ain't allowed. I coached soccer this spring and it was three laps and 40 push ups if you so much as uttered a swear. I get excited when I coach and I have a mouth on me when I get mad, so I tripled the punishment for me. Set an example also have incentives (like no conditioning the next practice) if there is no swearing.

#117 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:47pm by BulldogQB4

I don't know if it's terrible parenting or terrible environments in public schools or what ... but jesus christ.

#118 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:47pm by hypoxxia

parenting fail?

#119 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:48pm by maupa

I hate how everyone's assuming that it's the parent's fault. The parent is unlikely to post it as a FML if s/he is aware it's his/her fault.
FYL, but make sure you tell your kids NOT to say that kind of thing.

#120 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:49pm by OMGQueenB

That what happens when you let your kids watch the Jerry Springer Show! lol

#121 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:50pm by martron3000

#124 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:52pm by sdawl

That's kid of awesome. However, if that was me when I was a kid, I would have gotten beaten for using that language.

#125 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:52pm by Lolitajv

thats what you get for talking around your kids like that so yFuckingDI

#126 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:52pm by sdawl

#119 we can only get an idea of what is actually going on. Now, would you realistically believe that in 2nd and 3rd graders would hear the words "jacking off" "fuck" "cunt" in a school environment? It's parents not giving a damn about what their kids are exposed too. Now you may not have said it, you may not heard it, but you better care where they picked up that talk.

#127 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:52pm by BulldogQB4

thats cute

#128 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:53pm by effthis

#87 - wtf?

OP - Your kids crack me up. I love it. When I was 9 or so I was fighting with my mom and asked her what the middle finger meant. When she told me, I was like "oh, 'cause I was about to give it to you."

#129 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:53pm by Lia_Mackenzie

Nice parenting. Children are our future? I doubt that.

#133 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:57pm by emxrald

Ugh, children these days.. one parent's retarded, says something he shouldent to his child and boom it's the week's top word in school.

#134 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:57pm by ForWhatItsWorth

To everyone saying YDI and pointing their fingers at the OP saying "bad parent"... has it occurred to you that this may be the first time the OP heard this from his/her kids? The fact that he/she posted it on this site tells me that they don't think it's o.k.

I'm also going to assume that none of you has had any experience actually raising kids of your own, or else you would probably understand what a difficult job it can be. You can't be around them 100% of the time and monitor everything they see/hear/learn from others, but when you do hear them use language like that you talk to them about it and explain why they shouldnt be saying those things.

You don't have to beat them or shove a bar of soap in their mouths (yes, I understand that is how some of you learned these things as kids, but not every child has to go through that.) And yes, I understand that it used to be legal for school teachers to beat their students if they misbehaved, but it also used to be legal for a man to beat his wife... was that a good way to "teach" your wife not to do something you disapproved of? Perhaps using physical violence is what people do when they don't know how to use their words to teach their kids... Calm down and try to think logically before overreacting.

#135 - On 06/10/2009 at 5:58pm by d805

Your kids lives are fucked, you deserve it for bad parenting.

#139 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:00pm by suckerz

Use your belt on your kids. Not excessively, though. I grew up being belted and I'm one of the better-behaved people among the people I know.

#146 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:05pm by dorkasaur

stop blaming this on public schools you idiots. it's bad parenting. & smacking your kids is not the answer to the problem.

#147 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:05pm by PAGE47

Time to start parenting. I have 9 year old twins that don't talk like that and to my knowledge wouldn't know what those words meant.

#148 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:05pm by twindaddy

he's 8 and he's already at it ... does that even pleasure him?

#149 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:06pm by Zigster94

To be honest, the swearing usually is more in pubic school than Catholic or private ones, but that isn't always the case. I went to a Catholic school and I know more about this stuff than some of my public school friends. It all depnds on who you meet, how smart you are, ect...

#158 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:13pm by alwaysalady

#169 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:17pm by pommeblossom

I didn't know what a cunt was until I just looked it up now. I didn't know "jacking off" was a phrase for masturbation. This sort of explains why my parents told me to see a councilor...

#170 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:18pm by spidergirl41

..So?
They are old enough.

#171 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:20pm by Grawlix

oh wow

#172 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:20pm by ryanr21

it's really upsetting and ridiculous how many people are saying 'oh haha' 'kids say the darndest things' or acting like 'so what, that's how kids talk now'....this is the problem with today's society and tomorrow's youth. accepting and tolerating disrespect for others and for themselves. this behavior needs to be corrected ASAP!! and they might learn it and say it later in life, but that'll be 'later in life', not when they're are children and still learning about appropriate behavior. but laughing it off as 'kids will be kids' is a failure as a parent. and i'm not saying the parent did that; this is in response to all the people posting comments to that effect.

#173 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:22pm by Goosie

This is why I spend most of my paycheck on private school for my kids.

#174 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:22pm by RiverRelic

Aww, they're so sweet at that age!

#175 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:22pm by Turnip_Girl

I think school's fault when I was in middle school, kids used vulgar language like that in just about every sentence. it could also be parents and they pick it up that way. But your a parent and your thinking wtf so i'm going with schools. :D

#176 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:22pm by bbq45

Goody for you! You've just discovered something about your kids that everyone else around them probably already knows.

#177 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:23pm by aback

My parents would kill me if I said "damn" in front of them, and I'm 15. What the fuck are you doing as a parent?

#179 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:24pm by alex_vik

You have such lovely children.

#180 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:24pm by koda

"he's 8 and he's already at it ... does that even pleasure him?"

I'm guessing most of you have never taken a decent sex ed class. Even infants play with their genitals - there are a lot of nerve endings in that area and stimulating them feels good. It's not as if when you grow up you suddenly have a bunch of new nerve endings that didnt exist before... you're born with them.

#181 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:24pm by d805

Well, you're daughter should let him jack off. Wouldn't it be too small? And he can't cum... And hooray for little kids using strong language. =]

#182 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:26pm by edster9

To all you blaming it on either the parents or the school, I'll set this straight by saying it's a combination of both. It's most likely the OP's kids are learning the language at school, but it's the parents fault as well for not letting them know that that isn't acceptable language to use..

You should sit them down for a little talk ASAP.

#183 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:27pm by Howdyplz

#188 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:31pm by dgafprincess90

That's what happens when you have kids at 14 and no idea who the daddys might be.

#189 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:31pm by medicman

ok everyone saying its the parents fault i disagree, its the public schooling system now a days trust me a lot goes on there.

#190 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:34pm by Fireball01

How is this not your fault for letting your children be subjected to this language? F your KIDS life for growing up that way. You should be ashamed of yourself - don't go looking for sympathy.

This one's on you, parent.

#191 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:34pm by dreamofme

#192 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:35pm by ambiguous1

Even the school system cant be blamed for that one.. ouch

#193 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:35pm by lukeyluke_2613

I learned all of that language around age 5 or 6 just from being on the school bus.
My mother didn't start swearing around me until I was ten, and my dad never swears.

#199 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:38pm by Victoria2103

maybe you should get off of the internet and take disciplinary action on your children. just a suggestion. -.-

#200 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:38pm by kimstarrr

I think it's outragerous that kids that age are even using language like that. It was funny at first, then I took note of their ages. No matter where they learned it, it's a ydi if you haven't or don't take care of that behavior immediately.

#201 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:41pm by purupuru

I blame the school systems.

#203 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:41pm by xox_what_now

#204 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:42pm by GothamKnight

This is why I'm not having any kids. Not because I hate them or whatever, I don't, but because I don't want the responsibility of the little monsters I'm sure I'd bring into the world. And also because I think it's hilarious when other people's kids say stuff like that.

#205 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:42pm by awitsman84

thats fucked up.....maybe you are to blame

#206 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:43pm by brownkid32

WOW! I hope you pulled both of them out and spanked the pants off the them! It barely matters whose fault it is they SAID it, it is YOUR fault if they say it again!

#207 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:43pm by wishfullthinking

Don't blame public schools

#208 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:43pm by xox_what_now

Definitely school systems. My use of language comes from my school and kids are getting stupider and less self-responsible nowadays.

#209 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:49pm by spacetaco

The OP's username fits. Where would the kids learn that? At home, at school or from media. Watch what you say at home, make sure they are going to a decent school and monitor what they see on TV and movies.

#210 - On 06/10/2009 at 6:51pm by Kitty34

I find it hard to believe they have both picked up that language from school.

Do you talk to their mother / your girlfriend / them like that? If not, perhaps they're watching some TV inappropriate at such a young age.

Kids repeat everything. Beware.

dude, just tell them not to say jacking off, fucking, and cunt if you don't want them to say jacking off, fucking, and cunt. if they do it again, take away their favorite shit, i.e. their ipod, xbox, barbie doll, etc.

although i seriously doubt that kids who are that young would scream out swears and stuff. when i was 8, the worst word i used was crap, and that's like nothing. i call a bluff here.

#234 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:05pm by pyromance

Society is to blame, not the parents. Doesn't mean they're bad kids, they're just exposed to bad language. Nowadays, it's difficult to completely shade your kids from that type of language, sometimes you can't help it.

#235 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:06pm by KiddNYC10

they will be lovely teenagers ;)

#236 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:06pm by xij3ss

LMAO at people saying the original poster deserves this. He might actually deserve it, but we will never know for sure as the original post is too vague. There are a number of possibilities of where they learned that sort of language, including but not limited to the following:
1) older sibling. There isn't any specification that those two children aren't the only ones in the house.
2) school. Give me a break with this elementary school children are pure nonsense. Kids aren't as inane as we suspect. Put a hidden camera in an elementary school classroom, and you'll hear the same kind of words being said. Hell, wasn't there a news story a couple months ago of some 3rd graders attempting to tie up, and kill their teacher? Yet they wouldn't say curse words in elementary school? Right...
3) parents at friends' houses. Maybe they heard it from parents of their friends?

#237 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:06pm by KyleOkposofan

wow... i did not know what "jacking off" was until i was about 10, and never heard of "cunt" until i was 13... i spent i long time trying to figure out that "c" word that wasn't "crap"

Ah the next generation.... D:

#246 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:14pm by Anu_Ra

Even if the kids learn it in school and not at home, they clearly don't respect each other or their parents enough to not talk like that at home. I learned swear words at school and used them with my friends but knew better than to think that language would be ok at home.

Your life isn't fucked. If one wants to blame the "public school system," they are full of shit. A good parent can teach a kid to not act like an idiot and not imitate whatever their friends do. A massive YDI for you.

#260 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:27pm by HAHAHSUCKS4YOU

#188, seriously, wtf.

And by the way, I learnt swear words (shit etc.) when I was about 12. I heard kids call other kids "knobs" at about age 13, but had no idea what it meant until I was about 15. I never once heard my parents swear until I was at least 16, so the words I learnt had nothing to do with my parents.
That said, I still rarely swear. My parents never told me what I was and wasn't allowed to say, I judged for myself that those things weren't nice to say.
It's got nothing to do with parenting.

For all of you bashing the OP for being a bad parent, you're wrong. Neither one of my parents cuss. Ever. I find it strange at times, because I do, but not around them. They're not hardcore christians, just, apparently, neither one of them likes to cuss. They don't. As a kid, growing up, I never heard a single swear in my house. All the words and phrases I learned came from school. All of them.

At seven I learned the word fuck from school. It was written on a swing set on the playground. (Actually, the phrase written was Fuck You, but, I already knew the word you) I asked my dad if it was a bad word. He said yes. I didn't use it, that is, until Christmas, when I lost a video game to my uncle. At seven, I yelled at him fuck you, not meaning to. Just angry. I immediately cried, thinking I did something incredibly horrible, and went and told my mother on myself. I think my mother seeing me the way I was after saying that was right in not beating me. Instead she told me to go to bed. I didn't say the word fuck again until my last year of high school.

When I was eight, I learned dammit from television. Trying to be cool and old in front of my father, I set him up, and asked him a question that I new no would be the answer. I remember this part vividly. I screamed dammit, and my father then beat me with a belt. I didn't cuss at all after that until high school.

My point is, all the bad language I've learned to use, none of it is from my parents. All of it is from school, friends, and other mediums. So the fact her children are swearing doesn't make her a bad parent per say, they could easily learn this language from another source.

sounds like they have an abusive drunk for a mother

#269 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:39pm by Justineahh

Wow that's awful! I wouldn't have thought that a 7 year old girl knows what jacking off is... I kinda agree with #263,, that it's not always the parents fault, but it must be partly because seriously, I hope you had a talk with them about that or something, and you don't ever use those words in front of them.. I agree with #183,, it's both.. the world is becoming really bad =P everyone's learning new things at younger and younger ages =P

#270 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:39pm by _FYL_

There are just somethings that parents cannot control about their children. I'm sure if OP was a bad mother she wouldn't be posting this up on FML because she wouldn't even care if her kids say that. But parents are not the only thing that would influence the way kids behave. Maybe its their friends? Or school or possibly what they are watching on TV. There is so much a parent can do.

#279 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:43pm by itsnikk10

i completely agree with #135
beating ur kids wont help in fact it can cause more underlying problems in the long run. Talking with the children and explaining why they shouldnt be saying that stuff.
kids most likely learn it from friends at school or their friends homes depending on the parents i grew up with a stepdad that swears at the simplist things like hockey games. LET YOUR KIDS KNOW THAT IF YOU HEAR THEM SWEAR THERE WILL BE A GROUNDING. grounding them is more likely to work if you take the items they use the most away.

Yes indeed.

Your a terrible parent. This isn't an FML its a FM parenting

#297 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:57pm by etar

parenting fail
most definitely your fault
i dont care if they learned it from you or not, its your responsibility to teach them that that is wrong
i only got my mouth washed out with soap once because i KNEW what was appropriate to say in my house and what i should keep for my friends
also there's nothing wrong with spanking as long as thats all that there is
im only 19 and im definitely not caught up in all this politically correct shit that says spanking is child abuse...a good spanking or two will definitely teach you a lesson
but these days do that...and somebody calls you in...

#298 - On 06/10/2009 at 7:57pm by paks7

My first word was "fuck," and I said the phrases "son of a bitch," "assholes," and "niggers" more than anything else in my vocabulary before I hit the age of 5. My grandma's vocabulary was awful.

And kids these days...

#302 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:06pm by iowagirl1997

>.< That's funny. But terribly horrible. No 7/8 year old should talk like that. If you ask me, it kinda has to do with the parents of the matter. But whatever.

#303 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:09pm by NatalieForRizzle

You should have raised them better. But, yeah, public schools are also to blame.

#304 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:09pm by XXMeowmeowmeowXX

YDI for raising them like that

#305 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:11pm by cheese1756

Im 16 and I dont even talk like that. Youre raising potty mouthed children.

#306 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:11pm by clockworkrainbow

I'm going to bet that they picked up that bad language from TV or school. That being said, its your responsibility to correct them. Try bars of soap, smack around a few times, or give them restrictions. No matter what, don't leave those words unchecked. Good luck!

#307 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:12pm by ber254

you know, parents always blame the kids, but aren't the parents the ones that teach them to be the way they are? kids are very impressionable. i'm thinking YDI. maybe now you'll be more careful how you talk around them.

#308 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:12pm by sandra143

#297---why do you care at all? these aren't your kids, you don't know these people. commentors need to stop being such judgmental dickwads trying to give advice, and just appreciate the humor in the situation. thats what this site is about, not blaming someone for being a bad parent, or arguing over proper parenting techniques. stfu-shut the fuck up

#309 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:12pm by tko

#316 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:18pm by Sportsfan86

A lot of people are really quick to blame the parents and they probably don't have kids themselves. The major socializing forces for kids are not parents or the family anymore. It's school, and media. A parent can teach them how to deal with these forces, but they can't protect them from them. Give the OP the benefit of the doubt. This was probably the first time he/she heard the kids use words like these and probably used the opportunity to let them know it is really not OK to talk like that.

#317 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:20pm by abgirl

i don't think its your fault, parents can only block out so much :/
but seriously? 7 & 8? thats crazyyy. i had no idea what any of that meant when i was that age

#321 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:22pm by livvyylou

lemme guess your answer was, "both of you can shut the fuck up!" ?

#322 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:23pm by dem54

Yeah, a lot of people say blame it on the parents, and they're right, it may not directly be your fault, but at the end of the day, your children are a direct reflection on you... So figure out what's wrong and nip it in the bud.

#323 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:23pm by lovalamp

#329 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:39pm by mrose57

It is possible that this is caused by the public school system. My best friend has a ten year old cousin that goes to a inner city school and he has already had sex.

#330 - On 06/10/2009 at 8:40pm by fuzzybrownbear

Hahaha, I'm not voting because I don't see anything wrong, really. You sound like you have an amazingly entertaining household.

sexual words in there vocabulary .

wow FYL AND YDI honestly. What kind of horrible parenting are you and your spouse doing? get involved in their lives, see what they're watching on tv etc. They had to get this from somewhere and I'm totally looking at you people. You should be ashamed of something like this, and not be posting it online.

YDI for being a sucky parent and allowing that type of language in your household.

#346 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:07pm by fmlbaby

I think you should start paying more attention to how you and their father talk to each other.

#347 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:08pm by FreedomFirst

FFS are you ppl morons? Yes i can see her nick is "bad mom" but ever thought that she feels guilty about the fact her children now use this type of language? If she was a bad parent and encouraged this sort of behaviour from her children I don't think she would be posting it on here - because the sort of parent that uses that sort of language around their children doesn't care if the children use it too.

I'm 22 and i swear like a sailor - around my friends. I don't swear around my father or ppl older than me in my family. And i rarely swear around ppl who are older than me in public.

I'm actually a teacher and the way kids talk in school these days actually makes me sick sometimes. Don't blame it on the parenting.

#348 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:09pm by nescient

Kids say the darnest things....

#350 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:18pm by BabaBlackShirt

WTH
What kind of parent are you?
Either;
1. You curse around the house/have someone in the house cursing
2. Let them watch inappropriate shows/didn't monitor their television or internet access
or
3. You don't know what goes on at their school.
Next time they curse, give 'em a whoopin! It's legal to punish your kids, but not beat them. If I said that[even at my age] near my parents, they'd slap me and take away all of my privileges.

#351 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:19pm by notapplicable123

It's the parents and the environment they're in. "Parents" today want to be friends with their kids instead of parents. Couple that with a lax school environment in which the teachers don't care and/or don't have the power to do anything about disrespect (because everyone is sue happy) and the other kids being bad influences on others, you're going to get that type of language and lack of respect for each other. The OP should stand up, make him/herself the alpha dog (so to say) of the house, and be a parent. Instill some pride and standards in your kids.

#352 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:19pm by Phoenix

i would blame their friends, thats what made me so, well uh crazy..

#354 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:22pm by cinderella_smile

In no way should schools be blamed for it all. Every school I know will not allow that type of language. And they sure didn't learn it off of sesame street. What kind of a parent are you that you would teach your kids that?! Kids learn from example, and you are obviously to blame. You disgust me, and I think you should have your kids taken away from you,as they will obviously end up in jail in the near future. In fact if you don't eat them and wash their mouths out, and if I knew who you were, I'd call child services on you. How young are you? Obviously far too young to have kids!

#355 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:22pm by cmac86

YDI because they most likely either heard such exchanges from you and their father or from something you let them watch.

#356 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:22pm by FaithX

Phoenix- I agree! I'm against abuse and all, but srsly. A good spanking every now and again is needed. When I was a toddler and said something bad, I got spanked and now, I watch what I say.
Kids get NO DISCIPLINE. At school, they could claim discrimination or racism or something. It's ridiculous.

#357 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:23pm by notapplicable123

Oh, and don't be afraid to physically punish your kids. The law allows you to discipline them as long as the force used is reasonable. If they threaten to call Child Protective Services, let them.

#358 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:23pm by Phoenix

haha! now that is funny.
Although it's sad at the same time...

#359 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:24pm by mavsfan26

#360 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:25pm by dammit

Gee, wonder where they heard that? Nice parenting...YDI.

#361 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:31pm by itsme88

I agree with an earlier commenter. There is no way they are learning this at school. They may learn words but they don't learn to use them in the context mentioned here. My 2 kids plus my niece and nephew are all within 2 years of each other. My wife and I have never talked like that in front of our kids and we've never even overheard them talking like this. My niece and nephew are exposed to language like this every day from their parents and have been suspended from school several times. You need to look in your own house and place the blame accordingly.

#362 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:35pm by MarkO

Time to block HBO and ShowTime.

#363 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:36pm by ShenziSixaxis

Oh and one more thing: stay off the MTV, vh1, rap music, hip hop, and all that crap. It adds nothing to societey, everyone who listens to that mind numbing crap is arrested anyway, and if you start at this young age, perhaps they will only get a 25 year term when they're older.

#364 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:36pm by cmac86

I didn't learn a single bad word from my parents. All from my friends and TV, but I sure as hell knew not to use them around my parents. I'd say you should've gotten out the belt, paddle, spoon, switch, or whatever you have. That's how I learned and I'm grateful for it.

#367 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:38pm by glowingmonkeys

Newsflash: you are a bad parent.

#369 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:40pm by stop_whining

when I was in 2nd grade I learned the f word at school. I didn't know what it meant and either did anyone else. We got in a circle and some girl told us the f word. I used it at home once and my mother told me if she ever heard me say it again she'd beat me. No doubt in my mind she would. I'm 18 now and I used it on a semi-regular basis. No one in my family swears and I never heard it at home, always at school or work (I work for the prosecuting attorney). As much as people hate to admit it, it's a language of certain professions. His pointing out it was a FML shows that he IS embarrassed, not that it was okay. If he had used it regularly he would not have been surprised. That being said, it's unfair to say that he's a bad parent or that kids learn 99% of what they know from their parents because that's not always true. Some do and some don't. It depends on the personality of the child.

#370 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:40pm by shattered2004

Uhhh... You know this isnt always the parents fault... Im gonna go ahead and guess the kids go to public school.

Meh, I cursed a lot around my friends when I was 8 or 9, but never around family or adults. And for anyone blaming public schools, I learned to curse from kids at church, not from kids at my public school.

#372 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:41pm by mattmag

OMG they must be my long lost brother and sister LOL!

#373 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:41pm by FML_PosterBoy

I clicked YDI, because at that age, the only place the kids learn something like this is from home.

#374 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:42pm by ItecKid

this is when you start blocking PG13 and R movies or channels.

#375 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:43pm by suckishfather

How is this an FML?! Who accepted this?! This should be removed. This makes me lose respect for the app/site. And where on EARTH did those kids learn such vulgar grammer?! Wow. Now I'm scared for my daughter's future.

#376 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:43pm by littlemisslee

dude... this is kind of a ydi for allowing your kids to use such language. hope you laid the smackdown on em.

#377 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:45pm by emyle11

Haha yeah don't right away blame the parents, they prolly just have some badass friends at school. That's where I learned to cuss, my friends, not my rents

#378 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:48pm by epiclyfailing

jesus christ wat the hell r u teaching ur kids?

#379 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:50pm by metsfan189

i blame your parenting skills. you have yourself to blame.

#380 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:51pm by GrkGrl

HAHAHA i blame it on the people that fight , swear, and talk about that kind of stuff that are near them!

#381 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:52pm by monkeychick56

I swear, my parents never swore. I came out fine. Don't see what's wrong with public schools, kids will be kids. Lighten up.

#382 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:53pm by Notaneyo

haha

#383 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:56pm by inbar123

I completely agree with you. You're a horrible mother. Had you done your job and taught your crotchdroppings a little respect, they wouldn't be running their filthy little mouths at home. Shoving the blame on everyone but the parents is the worst idea society has ever come up with. Take some goddamn responsibility and teach your brats how to behave. Explaining it to them helps but nothing gets the point across like tobasco to the tongue or some other equally-undesirable punishment.

It's time to go cut a fucking switch.

#384 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:57pm by Lythiaren

You can't blame the parents for something like that.
Sure, they need to be disiplined for saying that, and they probably were.

But no matter how good a parent you are, you can't sheild them from the real world.

#385 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:57pm by HorrorByrd

and did you try to stop them atleast or being a bad parent, you joined in? I know kids learn stuff from school but 7 and 8 is too young to learn all that.

#386 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:58pm by life_sux1234

IT'S probably your daughter and sons friends that are influencing them, 95% of the bad stuff I learned from TV and friends

#387 - On 06/10/2009 at 9:59pm by ohbonjour

I hope you grabbed both your kids sat them down and told them that type of language isn't allowed. Then after washing there mouths out with soap grounded them. Instead of just halfheartedly saying that was wrong and coming on here to complain.

#388 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:02pm by Hermyoni

you are a bad mom if you're not seeing the kids they're hanging out with. that's on you, but it's also on their friend's parents too

#389 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:03pm by gregthestrange

maybe you aren't teaching your children the right lessons (manners respect) and teaching them the wrong ones (cursing)

#390 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:03pm by bugsuck09

#31-agreed, I'm also 11 and that's exactly how my school is, cussing all the time, including me :D
awesome kids

#391 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:05pm by scateice

thats why all the good parents send their kids to private school

#392 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:06pm by saint101

you have the greatest children ever. i want two just like them.

#393 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:10pm by jon10388

You Deserve it. At that age you are the one who should be controlling what your kids are watching or doing at home or on the internet. I hope you punished them for that. Its either schooling in which case you should get on to the school for that or you have to look at the mirror.

#394 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:11pm by Chibes

Lolololol I learned nearly everything I know from the internet and my friend, are they online and around a lot of friends quite frequently?

My parents were never comfortable with telling me ANYTHING at all about the world nowadays, and they STILL feel uncomfortable about telling me. I'm sixteen and my mom didn't think I knew what sex sounded like. I didn't even know what masturbation was until I was thirteen.

Sometimes, though, not knowing things can be... bliss...

Your poor kids. I think that right now you should be talking to them about their language... but I still lol'd

THE INTERNET RUINS INNOCENCE
I SHOULD KNOW

#397 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:16pm by xoxo9171

HEY EVERYONE,
You cant automatically assume that this parents is a bad one.
Kids are learning this crap in school, and the ages gets lower each year.

#398 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:16pm by gr33ggg

children tend to copy what their parents say..

#399 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:18pm by emmexox

Oh, yeah, that's pretty bad. Those kids are going to be quite the adults one day. Good luck with them. Or, you can teach them NOT to say those things even though mommy and daddy do.

F-Their-Lives. Good luck to them.

#400 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:18pm by I_Have_Issues

YDI if you let them get away with that.

#405 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:24pm by Tripodi

I used to curse sometimes when I was little. If your kids realize how important it is not to curse, they'll stop.

#406 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:24pm by LittleGigiK

What the hell kind of environment are you raising them in? Your username tells the whole story.

Wow ur a super crappy parent!

#409 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:29pm by Topguy

i started useing "fuck" and all that stuff when i was 8. And i learned most of it from school my own self, but also the other half from home cause my parents used to always fight. Then get glad and have sex.. weird family... dont ask.... but anyways i still cuss. Not around my parents cuz if i cuss around my parents i get hit. (im 12).

#410 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:36pm by Kittycate6606

YDI i didn't even no the F word until I was 11, horibble parenting. even if they learned it at school you should of took them out.. and transfered or somthing, there is no way this cou7ldn't of been prevented
Oh and guy above me get off this site your 12!!

#412 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:42pm by freemymindatnite

haha. nice kids you got there... it's deff not public schooling. It takes more than finger painting and nap time to get a kid to utter words like that. Everything goes back to the home... Maybe they were just re-enacting you and your husband's daily routine in the morning... But don't worry imitation is the best form of flattery... FYL YDI.

#413 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:46pm by kimberlysy

#415 - On 06/10/2009 at 10:55pm by Kzee

but this made me laugh so hard :D

To anyone that says that public schools aren't that bad, shut the fuck up. Here in Wisconsin, every kid knew everything to say before 7th grade. just the other day i heard 4th graders talking about blowjobs on the bus...

Parenting fail. Learn how to beat your kids or it's gonna be worse when he's 14 and his sister catches him banging some chick in his room.

#430 - On 06/10/2009 at 11:24pm by lesp

ummm no offense im not saying this isn't real but i'm sure that was a scene in the movie thirteen

#431 - On 06/10/2009 at 11:28pm by epicfail11

...please let this be fake.

If not,
This is why there are RATINGS on movies and video games.
This is why you teach your children to be respectful and have good morals.
THIS is why you act like a parent, instead of the "cool person" who lets them do whatever they want.

I'm sure you'll realize this when your daughter gets knocked up at 13,
and your son gets 3 different girls pregnant.

YDI.

--

If you are NOT the one exposing your children to this, I suggest you immediately punish them, and take them out of their current school. Alert the school about this innapropriate behaviour.

Check what websites they've been going to if they have acess to a computer.

7&8 year old kids should be watching animated movies, and G/PG stuff.
They should also not be allowed to play video games over E for Everyone.

Again, if this is not your fault, FYL.

FYL that you have potty-mouthed kids, but YDI for bitching about it on here instead of talking to them about their language problem.

#435 - On 06/10/2009 at 11:42pm by CatieBabey

Being 15 and having grown up in a pretty good area, and in public schools, I would say it really does depend on the school and friends of those kids. I didnt learn about those thing THAT young, but I did learn about it through my friends and school.

#436 - On 06/10/2009 at 11:42pm by Kttttt

Well, considering you are parents its a good idea to parent. Methinks kids with good parents won't say that.

You need to fucking control ur kids

#443 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:09am by jordan95

so let me get this straight: more than half of you are freaking the fuck out because you all think she's a terrible parent, and the rest of you are blaming the schools, the media, and the entertainment industry? alright, consider this:

THIS IS PROBABLY THE FIRST TIME THOSE KIDS USED THAT KIND OF LANGUAGE. if it happens fifty fucking times every day, shes not going to think its an fml. next:

EVERYONE CURSES. no, the Amish don't count because they isolate themselves. they could have picked it up from anyone they've ever met, not just the parents fighting/fucking, or the tv. and if the kids use the internet, they're screwed when it comes to censorship anyway. that's one of the hardest things to control. next:

JUST BECAUSE THEY CURSE DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE ASSHOLES/BRATS/POORLY RAISED KIDS. for all you commenter's know, they could be the sweetest kids in the world outside of language. at that age, one trait can easily contradict another. next:

NO, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TORTURE YOUR KIDS TO PUNISH THEM. what the fuck is wrong with all you people talking about soap in the mouth and Tabasco and the fucking belt? great, it worked in the nineteenth century, that doesn't mean its the best way to do everything. you see, as time passes, the human race tends to learn new things that work better than old ones. my parents haven't laid a finger on me. i'm not saying i'm perfect, but kids are smart. they'll get you back. i sure as hell would have if i needed to. next:

CENSORSHIP IS IMPOSSIBLE IN OUR SOCIETY. go on. try it with your kids. i dare you. just wait till they get curious and start learning new stuff. then you all are going to have so much fun...

my final point is that all you preachy assholes need to get off your pedestals and come down to earth. OP: you have been presented with a problem. accept it or fix it. i wish you the best of luck.

#444 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:12am by zredalert95

#448 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:21am by FarSide

Hey, look at the bright side, at least they are prepared for this world. I rather have children raised like the world around them than get totally screwed when they actually have to live in it.

#449 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:21am by Lifesucksdodrugs

Look at the idiotic comments here. Kids cursing is a sign of bad parenting? Kids have ALWAYS cussed, and WILL ALWAYS cuss. Most just do it when no one is around. I really hope the people who wrote these comments don't/won't have children.

#450 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:22am by clockworkgirl21

#1. i went to public school too and i never knew what the word meant till i was in high school... ITS THE PARENTS JOB TO KNOW WHAT THEIR KIDS ARE UP TO! its not tv - things are on tv to make money . its not school- a lot of ppl go to school they all have diff parents... kids pick up everything.. they don't always know what they mean.. its up to the parents to GUIDE THEM!!!!

your a horrible horrible parent, beat your children more often

#458 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:52am by eric_p

Well, your kids have obviously heard these phrases on more than one occasion because they obviously know what these words mean, having used them in the right way. (not to say that these words are right for kids to be using, but as in they know what these words mean). If you know your kids have not heard these words from you, then maybe look into their babysitters or something. I doubt that they have heard these words at school if they are 7 and 8. But, if they did learn these words from you, then maybe its time to start making sure that your kids aren't around before using that kind of language, if you don't want them to repeat it. By the way, I can't believe all of these people bashing you and automatically assuming that these words came from you. They very well may have, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.

#459 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:59am by westerngirl007

442: you consider soap in the mouth torture? sure its unpleasant but id say torture is a little exaggerated

and the public school thing? maybe some of you need some clarification...that inner city school scene is not exactly what all public schools are like...
i hate to tell you but private school kids are just as bad
where i come from more kids from the private school are the whores who get knocked up before graduation

#460 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:07am by paks7

If they talk like that now, clearly they are not going to be verbally inhibited as the years go by.

Try getting them interested in unusual words with a dictionary & thesaurus on a daily basis. Make it fun!

#461 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:10am by FurrTrap

It's?either school, or your family has a problem. XD
Either way, I'd say YDI partially at least, because one notices those things and tries to correct them at home. Parents exist, among other things, to undo the mess society does to their kids heads. :X

#464 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:26am by KMW3558

I hope you went in and regulated on both of them right then!!! You need to restrict what they watch on tv and internet etc. Teach them how terribly inappropriate that is, my kids would be grounded for a month!! Maybe what they really need is some family time... You know like a day at the park. This is a cry for attention... or screams. Better act fast!!

#465 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:30am by rustyrox

wow, you must really suck as a parent. way to go, asshole.

#466 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:30am by leyash

Public schools in this country are awful!! You need to to actually attend one right now to understand this fact completely. They are utter shitholes full of pot, sex, bad language, incompetent teachers, stress, unkindness, and asshole peers. It is not at all the op's fault for thee kids knowing/using that language, but it is his/her fault for not teaching the children not to use those words.

#467 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:32am by fullcarbon54

#474 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:57am by censorshipoff

Wow, where do all of you judgmental jackasses get off telling him he's a terrible parent? You should teach them why its socially disadvantageous, not morally wrong, to say certain words when you feel like it. And, chances are, they learnt it in school.

#475 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:58am by Dragodon64

haha thats a stinker

#476 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:00am by prospekt1

You should have washed their mouth out with soap.

#477 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:05am by reed20

Wow... When I was 7, the worst swear that I knew was "stupid". I even got put into detention because I told some other kids that my teacher was stupid, and was ratted out. I learned the real swears later on, but I would never scream them out like those kids. This is definitely the combined fault of the kids, the parents and the school, because normal kids don't speak like that at that age. Just wow...

#478 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:16am by Holybatman

Bloody hell, if I spoke like that as a child, my mom would have hospitalised me! I still don't talk like that around her now and I'm 20!

#479 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:20am by starflake

How do they even know those words? Through you or through mass media?

I damn well hope you at least scolded them or something, surely you made sure to tell them off?

If not, well, they're never gone learn and then it will be your fault *shrugs*

FYL and YDI.

#480 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:23am by PennyForAThought

Wow. Your children are made of pure win.

Anyway, they either get that from other children who hear it from their parents, other adults, or you. It's their environment.

#481 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:26am by Carribu

HA!!! I bet they heard it from mommy and daddy... You know, kids are really impressionable and they are like sponges, blah blah blah. But seriously--they love to repeat things that older people say so they sound more 'grown-up'. If that's what they were trying for, then I would tell them: FAIL. But if they heard you yell that at your husband/boyfriend/secret lover, then have him scream back at you, then YDI.
But I did recently hear a 4-year-old call her dad a stupid f*cker, so you're not alone.

#482 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:27am by cutebutpsycho

not necessarily ydi. it could've been other factors

#485 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:37am by rachelbrianna25

Wow... are you one of those parents who is too busy and self-involved to actually take care of your kids, so you plunk them in front of the television or computer and rely on those to teach them about the world?

Wow you assholes are really gold at judging. And I would bet money you in highschool or college with no experience/knowledge in/about partening. Get over it.

Besides this sounds fake.

#493 - On 06/11/2009 at 3:32am by jannas

I knew most words like that when I was that age. I got them from school. Maybe it's not YOUR fault, it could be the fault of another childs parent? Did you not think of that?

#494 - On 06/11/2009 at 3:36am by Fllyleaf

@#23 and all others screaming "bad parenting"

You think the kids learn that at home? I don't know where you live but where I live we got this thing called school. That's where I learnt all that stuff, not from my parents. It really doesn't matter what your parents say or do if every day you're around badly raised kids at school.

#495 - On 06/11/2009 at 4:14am by Asdas

teach your kids some respect, parenting classes much?

#500 - On 06/11/2009 at 5:30am by rachelxx

That's pretty extreme, especially of course for 7- and 8-year-olds. Quit blaming the media, I've never heard the word "Cunt" on TV. The other stuff is questionable.

Oh well, they'll learn profanity sooner or later.

#501 - On 06/11/2009 at 5:30am by uberkrissy

Mother of the Year contender, obviously...

#502 - On 06/11/2009 at 6:01am by Mozart24

I heard most of the cuss words when I was 9 and 10. That's also when I learned a few things about sex. My parents have NEVER cussed around my brother and me and to tell you the truth, my mom never even gave me the sex talk. All these "bad wordly things" I've learned from being in public school (in RURAL Oklahoma I might add) and from the media. I mean seriously? Do you see what's one TV these days or listen to what's on the radio? I've heard PLENTY of seven and eight year olds says some things that I have NEVER DARED to say because I know I would've had my butt bruised all over!!! I see kids ALL THE TIME that have cell phones! Nice ones too like iPhones and Blackberrys! Really? What do they even use them for? To text their friends and say "Hey let's go swing together at recess!" THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ADVANCED ENOUGH VOCABULARY TO PRODUCE MEANINGFUL TEXTS! And unfortunately, I see 4th and 5th grade girls wearing make up too. I blame ALL of it on society!!! It's been almost 10 years ago since I was this age, but it's VERY possible that these kids have learned this stuff from school and the media. Just saying. Also, the only reason that it WOULD be the OP's fault is if they let their kids spend massive amounts of time watching TV or on the computer and if they listen to vulgar music, which most of it is nowadays. And maybe the OP never expected them to say things like this so that's why they never talked to them about using good language. :)

#503 - On 06/11/2009 at 6:10am by learntolive13

#505 - On 06/11/2009 at 6:53am by you_not_me_OWNED

I read this yesterday on my phone and never got to the internet to leave a comment, but honestly I believe it about 100%.!
Kids do learn things like younger and younger every year. I was exposed to this kind of talk starting in fourth grade, obviously the generations gotten younger though. They learn it from kids at school who learn it from their older siblings and family members.
But either way I learned most all of that in elementary school and stuff, and my parents NEVER really swear or say ANYTHING like that! And I tell you my parents get shocked at just what has started earlier and earlier (Example: Sex ; used to be high school, now middle school) That's basically public schooling for you!

#506 - On 06/11/2009 at 7:26am by AmyBeth

I see nothing wrong with using a heated metal rod to beat your children

On a less serious note: Please tell me you don't swear in front of your children..or if you do..you sit them down and explain to them that swearing just makes you look ignorant and it is vulgar.

#507 - On 06/11/2009 at 7:38am by DizzyDemon0

Hahahaaa!
Wow:D
You know that either you fought them those words or people at school.

Really I still haven't had the freakin 'talk' but people at school will be talkin about it 24/7

I'm not sure if it's FYL or YDI

#508 - On 06/11/2009 at 7:48am by HunterFalls13

Guys don't flame the parent she was obviously shocked that they knew these words

#509 - On 06/11/2009 at 8:03am by Jonathan67

Unless you live in a REALLY bad area, I'm going to guess they learned that stuff from you and/or your husband. From the name you picked, I'm guessing it's you. Either way, you should have taught them that those words are NOT tolerated in your household. YDI.

#510 - On 06/11/2009 at 8:25am by silvermoonstar3

That's an easy enough FYL to fix -- get out the phone book, call CPS, and have them come take your children away, you unfit parent.

lmao.

#513 - On 06/11/2009 at 9:22am by speedydrumstix

adding to the chorus of parenting fail. kids don't make up language like that all on their own, they either heard it from you or the TV, and if it's the latter you fail at supervising your kids and what they watch.

#514 - On 06/11/2009 at 9:50am by diet_otaku

ouchhh FYL indeed. You should really take care of that though, hope that was swiftly followed by some discipline. wooden spoon?

#515 - On 06/11/2009 at 9:55am by employed22

I think its time to beat the shit out of them

#516 - On 06/11/2009 at 9:58am by ZiggyMorrison

Is this even true? If it is, you are a TERRIBLE parent. Where the hell are they hearing this from? What did you do, laugh when they said it? You need to take better control of your kids. Ugh this makes me sick-you don't deserve to be a parent

#517 - On 06/11/2009 at 10:02am by all4jjl

Soap in the mouth time! and agreed time to be a parent!

#522 - On 06/11/2009 at 10:31am by fistofflu03

Don't blame the schools, blame the parents. It doesn't matter when or where you learn the words, what matters is when you learn it's not appropriate to use them. That should be taught at home. My daughters knew the penalty for that type of language. I'm sure they used the words, but not where my wife and I could hear.

#523 - On 06/11/2009 at 10:46am by Guairdean

your life is fucked

#524 - On 06/11/2009 at 10:47am by mustangsami118

wow all you losers that think that its "BAD PARENTING" you guys just need to learn that not only is it public schools on the bus, and all the t.v shows that say that it could also be siblings and friends
so don't start saying hes a bad parent because i bet that half of all your kids do the same.

#525 - On 06/11/2009 at 11:04am by crazychick12

lrn2parent, maybe?

@525 You're supposed to discipline your kids. Doesn't matter if they use the language or not, if you're a good parent your kids learn not to use the language around you.
But then again, I'm fifteen and my parents gave up on language a long time ago. With seven and eight year olds, thought, it's kind of a different story...

#526 - On 06/11/2009 at 11:04am by Waabishkii_ikwe

#534 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:09pm by xPediophobia

People should stop jumping to conclusions! Don't blame the parent.

A lot of kids learn words in school and other places. Its not necessarily the parents fault.

#535 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:14pm by kitty_minky

You should kill yourself for failing as a parent. YDI

#533: It's the parent's fault if they don't discipline their children even though they learn something "bad" in school.

um. wow. i'm a 15-year-old who goes to a public high school and even I don't say stuff like that. You obviously don't care what your kids say and therefore, you suck at parenting. no offense.

I think I may have dated you when I was in college...

#541 - On 06/11/2009 at 12:53pm by haha_goodone

That's such bull. I swear, not badly, but a lot of people I know do. I go to a fancy private school and my parents never swear. They're brilliant parents it's just something that one learns these days. It's part of society :)

#542 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:09pm by 1babes

Where did they learn that language!?

#543 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:11pm by cheesefest

Oh, all the people blaming the schools are right(ish). But I went to a tiny Seventh-day Adventist Christian school and that's where I learned those words. No where is safe. I think it starts with parents or friends, though. Then the kids come to school and HAVE to share their new knowledge.

#544 - On 06/11/2009 at 1:41pm by cutebutpsycho

Try not to curse in front of your kids, that hopefully should do the trick.

#548 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:01pm by suaveneanderthal

Love how people just jump all over the school systems. LOL Get real. It's called 'life'. Kids can pick up bad words from anywhere they go, it's not specific to the type of school.

#549 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:20pm by grinn

Well, if you don't want your kids to say those words, teach them otherwise. It's your fault they're saying those things because you didn't teach them it was wrong OR they're so insolent that they don't give a fuck about what you say. In my opinion, I wouldn't really care if my kids said those things because they're going to learn them sooner or later. If your kids are doing things you don't want them to, you're a pretty shitty parent.

#550 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:25pm by Bunbu

I laughed. Those are kids I could be friends with...

No really, fyl. Kinda sucks, but I'm not gonna judge. I don't know how that stuff works because I'm not a parent. But I'm sure you can break them of saying those words.

Also, the girl above me looks like Owen Wilson. Don't listen to her. Your kids aren't doing what you want so you're a shitty parent?

#551 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:40pm by MajorTom85

now THATS good parenting.

#552 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:46pm by Breennnxx

#553 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:51pm by Tsulu

Everyone bitching about this person being a bad parent, or yelling about the people who are bitching..... Not a single damn one of you realized how fucking staged and fake this sounds.

#554 - On 06/11/2009 at 2:52pm by SpazTheGreat

Its time you started to monitor what they watch on TV/do on the internet/listen to on the radio until they understand that language like that is completely inappropriate. Be firm, but fair. Good luck!

#555 - On 06/11/2009 at 3:14pm by 56578

YDI for not being a good parent and teaching your kids the difference between right and wrong.
#493 - you can't monitor your kid 24/7, but you can teach them that such things are or are not appropriate. It's time parents stop blaming everything else for their poor parenting skills.

The OP should stop bitching and sit down and be parents to their children instead of wasting their time posting on internet forums. It's sad that all of these nanny shows and such exist because of how shitty parents are these days, you have to have someone come into your home and be on network television to show that it IS possible to not have kids running around and swearing in your house.

#556 - On 06/11/2009 at 3:40pm by primogen18

am I the only one who thought this wasn't a shock due to the parents teaching their kids, but more a shock because they assumed they protected their kids? seriously, parents these days are kinda naive.

sorry about that OP, that kinda tricky. They're just words though. once they find out that they don't make anyone view them as grown ups, they'll stop. it worked for me. (until i got to high school and discovered the joys of calculus tests)

#576 - On 06/11/2009 at 6:45pm by Duber

That is really scary. and for those of you who think its cute, it's not. it's vulgar, gross, and idiotic. The kids need to learn not to say that kind of stuff, especially at such a young age. They need to be watched better, and be careful who they hang with. Its so sad the way they act. :(

#578 - On 06/11/2009 at 6:54pm by staceybby

When they're that young, it's totally your fault. Kids pretty much absorb everything they say and do from their parents until they're teens. So total YDI on that one. You fail at parenting. :) I don't even swear like that, and I'm 18.

awesome job raising your children.

#585 - On 06/11/2009 at 7:56pm by binaryalice

Its mostly the schools fault. Also your fault for not slapping them across the face for talking that way.

PUBLIC schools are just not safe any more.
Teachers have sexual relations with childrens, teachers hurt children meaning hitting them or chill abuse.
Kids have sex now YES meaning 10 year olds are already having babys.
How do i know well lets just say i know someone who works in a hospital. Their reactions are =O what da....
Children teach each other to curse since one kid might have a parent that cusses at home it rubs off to the child then to the other children around them.
SO its mostly the public Schools fault & also some parents fault especially the parents who dont do anything about it.

#586 - On 06/11/2009 at 8:09pm by ShinyShine

There are a lot of things to blame that on.
1. Schools, but not really, because teachers, principals, and other administratives generally catch kids using vulgar words.
2. Yourself. What environment are the kids being raised in?

#587 - On 06/11/2009 at 8:25pm by L_M_H_H

Those words were probably used by YOU, YOUR partner... neighbors, or your kids' freinds parents.. lets take the classic.. Christmas story for example.. why does ralphie use the language??? BECAUSE HIS DAD DID! sooo... parents are the leading role model for there kids up to age 10.. guess whos fault it is?? YDI!

My 5 year old knows how to swear. We try not to swear in front of him, but it happens. Plus he has uncles who are still school age and swear regularly in front of him b/c they are young and forget themselves.

While I'm impressed at his proper command of swearing. We do sternly teach him that he cannot swear right now. He *can* swear "once he is driving and people are nearly killing him out of their own stupidity." b/c that's when everyone (even people who have never sworn their entire life) learn to swear like sailors.

He forgets once in a while, but is quick to fix it when we remind him.

Not a big deal really.

#606 - On 06/12/2009 at 12:38am by cuzsis

Ok, first of all, you people that keep saying 'bad parenting', fu! 90% of all bad words aren't learned at home, they're learned at school. School where one kid learns about it from a sibling or something, and spreads it around. Second of all, so what? does it matter, i mean, they're only words. My parents never really cared because its called freedom of speech bitches. I knew everything there was to know about sex by the time i was seven, does that mean my parents were bad parents? no, it just means someone else beat them to the punch. And all you people that say bad parenting, you've probably said it once or twice in your day too. And for those of you giving negative comments that aren't parents, I'd like to see you follow your kid around with a plastic bubble trying to censor all negative language around them. Tell me how that works out.

#607 - On 06/12/2009 at 12:55am by guitargirl89

I'm 11...that's basically the whole grade, swearing and cussing and everything o.O
And yes, we all have facebooks and know innapropiate things.
All those things, I actually learned at school, all of it.
Take it from a real kid, BLAME THE SCHOOLS. The parents have nothing to do with it.

#613 - On 06/12/2009 at 4:55am by wrecked

Hey, hey, hey, people. By the boy's response, he probably WAS havin' a toss in the bathroom.

I blame Jesus for letting our children grow up so fast! What next? 11 year old kids growing up with dirty-looking moustaches and beards? Maybe it's the government putting super duper chemicals in the water supply to beef up kids early so they can reduce the legal military recruitment age! Or maybe you, as a parent, shouldn't refer to people as horrible slang words for vaginas.

There is a positive side, though. Training them up for high school. Could be worse. I mean, he could've got into your crack stash.

#617 - On 06/12/2009 at 8:48am by Shanny

#583 thinks everyone who grows up going to *gasp omg* public schools live in ghettos, very untrue.
#604 is cleary one of those parents looking for an excuse sticking up for the shitty parents of today. Many parents are worthless today, it's a common fact. They don't teach their kids right from wrong or reality from fantasy. It's why we have people like tipper gore blaming media for how people act. I played violent video games as a kid and was exposed to violence and vulgarity outside the home, and I grew up fine. My parents told me that game I played wasn't real, those people cursing weren't "cool", and that if you shoot someone there are real consequences unlike "doom". If you grow up without being told these things, there will be something wrong with you and you could do horrible things, but it stems back that your parents never gave a shit to instill such life values causing you to be messed up. The people we let breed these days, there should be a test and months of training in order for a man to be able to stick his dick in a woman without protection on the chance she will bare a child.

Have a stern talk with them and explain that kind of talk isn't tolerated, but don't feel badly. Kids learn that sort of language from other kids at school. I'm 25, and I remember I started swearing when I was 10. I had no idea what a "fuckwad" was in grade 5....

#621 - On 06/12/2009 at 1:26pm by derriduh

WTF?!?!

#622 - On 06/12/2009 at 2:17pm by pernicious_pink

Although I agreed your life is f*cked, I wonder why how they came to feel that it's ok to talk like that in front of you. It seems like you have convinced them that it is appropriate to use that kind of language by not telling them otherwise.

#623 - On 06/12/2009 at 3:18pm by msmil401

Umm... I think you deserved that one.
Or their friends.
Hmm. Either way... scary.

#629 - On 06/12/2009 at 7:36pm by SublatePandemic

29, 31, and 32 are what I say better reasoning. Even though this is sorta prohibited, I always wondered why kids couldn't swear, and adults could? Why? You're supposed to be free? Still, it's my opinion. But we get it naturally. It's just something we don't care about. It's more badass, I suppose. :)

#630 - On 06/12/2009 at 7:41pm by awkwardness

My parents swore all the time when I was younger, and I am now 18 and don't swear, unless I am extreamly pissed off. I wouldnt blame your parenting I'm guess you are trying to do your best. I would blame schools, and T.V try getting the parent block thing, kids dont need to be watching things like south park and family guy, my younger brother picked up many things sneeking and watching lat night tv.

#631 - On 06/12/2009 at 7:46pm by cutiepie4life

Maybe you should be a better parent and pay more attention to where your kids are, what they're doing, watching and who they're with. Then this wouldn't be a problem.

#632 - On 06/12/2009 at 8:48pm by TheKitsune

Two words Catholic School!!

PS ur name really describes u

#633 - On 06/12/2009 at 10:13pm by macblack

nice parenting you should sit them down and tell them not to use those words , if my dad was still alive and i used that kind of language he would whip me with a 2x4

#634 - On 06/12/2009 at 10:52pm by pivotfreak360

This sounds fake.

#636 - On 06/13/2009 at 12:39am by RazorbladeSmiles

Okay, this has nothing to do with her parenting skills. Kids pick up lots of things at school. And it's true that they're becoming more and more vulgar at a younger age.

#637 - On 06/13/2009 at 1:05am by jewelzgalore

This is awesome!! I would give anything to hear that exchange! Well, not between my own kids, but anyone else's... :D

#638 - On 06/13/2009 at 1:38am by Islander

lol @ # 78 being a rich little faggot. NYC? Really hunny, we only curse at schools in New York City? You live sad and unfortunate life if the children you go to school with are so sheltered that you've never heard someone curse.

Obviously this man is emmbarrassed that his children said these things, so he probably didn't use the words around them! Beat their asses.

#639 - On 06/13/2009 at 2:42am by annjella117

634? hate to say it, but you're dead wrong. Yes, kids tend to imitate what they hear. Yes, if they're raised in an environment hearing it, they'll say it.

However, the other effect is in whether you, as a parent, allow it. I was raised in a household where certain offenses would get your little rear end kicked. Not literally obviously, but spankings DO have their place in a home. For years I was an advocate of not beating your children, till I realized just what deterrent factor it has.

Do NOT let your children walk all over you. You are the parent, and YOU hold the responsibility for keeping them safe, teaching them how to live, and making decisions for them until they are old enough to safely make their own. Kids are NOT 'little adults', they're kids. Growing up is a learning process. The whole point of human beings raising children till they're matured came about for the safety and education of the children.

By letting them step on you like this, you're letting them, and yourself, down. Hard love is a tactic that works in the correct dose, and maintaining a healthy amount of discipline is another key in parenting as well. It helps them on the path to learning to control their own behavior later in the real world when it counts, as well as being responsible for themselves when they gain their own home, or to take care of a spouse in latter years.

Have some dignity, explain later what you did and why, when they settle down and realize that's NOT acceptable behavior in your home. Chances are, once your kid is mature enough to understand, 20 years later they'll come back and thank you for it, I know I do.

#640 - On 06/13/2009 at 4:00am by kyraeus

Gah, make that 637. Misread it.

Also, I think it was best said by a great man who died before his time 'Why is it this smaaaaaall group of words is cordoned off from the rest of such a HUGE group? They must be pretty terrible... I mean, we have what, 12? 15 major curse words primarily in the english language? They're so horrible!' to paraphrase George Carlin.

Seriously. There are bad intentions. Bad feelings. Bad thoughts. No bad words.

A word is like a gun. Harmless until used with intent. Keep this in mind. Yes, kids probably shouldn't use these until mature enough to understand what saying them with certain intents mean, and it's just disrespectful. But once you reach majority age, I kinda don't see the point, especially when the same words that hurt can generally be used for so many other things.

#641 - On 06/13/2009 at 4:06am by kyraeus

why the fuck does everyone here think that swearing is this horrible thing that must be stopped? i mean seriously with problems such as bullying plaguing schools all over the country we're worried about kids saying a few words some people arbitrarily decided were offensive? Seriously? And as for them being young, kids are people too. They should be entitled to express themselves however they want. And the truth is, we should have faith that our children will learn from experience when to swear and when not to, because for better or for worse swear words DO offend some people, and thus "offensive" language can be disadvantageous in certain situations. Really though swearing is generic and not even a very effective way of insulting someone. I would be more angry if my child were intentionally hitting a soft spot in order to make someone feel bad.

#642 - On 06/13/2009 at 4:54am by mcd62

First, don't blame the school system. It is NOT their responsibility to teach our children values and manners, that is our job as parents.

Second, is the Mom at fault? Yes, while her children are under the age of 18, she and their father are responsible for them and their behavior.

Thrid, the best thing she could have done and probably did, was as soon as the comments were made she corrected the behavior and explained how what they just said was wrong and why it is wrong.

MCD62--While I do feel that children should be able to exress themselves, they should not be able to express themselves in a manner that is offensive. I would not want to hear these statements from adults so why would it be acceptable to hear them come from children?

#643 - On 06/13/2009 at 8:03am by mom4life

get off this website and parent your children....

#644 - On 06/13/2009 at 11:32am by ibufficus

Do either you or your partner swear and say stuff like that ?? cause children will only repeat things that they have heard !!!

#645 - On 06/13/2009 at 12:26pm by Ashleigh_85

I have a hard time believing they learned this public school. I wouldn't have understanded what jacking off and cunt meant until 7th grade and I did go to public schools all my life. So yes it bad parenting. L2 spank kids when they are behaving badly. It worked on me.

#646 - On 06/13/2009 at 3:01pm by monkey314159

LOL your kids are awesome

BTW they say the same stuff in private school. Only the girls are real sluts in private schools. I'd rather have my kids get a real education in a public school, then a half assed one, surrounded by sluts in a private school. Or be taught that being gay is bad because the bible says so. Yes raising narrow minded children is awesome.

#647 - On 06/13/2009 at 4:46pm by mercedeslove

Maybe you should start raising your children better then.

#654 - On 06/14/2009 at 8:19am by 10001110101

OP, come take a bow *clapclap*

#656 - On 06/14/2009 at 1:58pm by lolcake

#640/641, I beg to differ. I am an adolescent myself and I am acquainted with many screwed up kids who have the most wonderful, put-together parents. It's true that bad parenting skills could contribute to the problem but that's not always the case.

I believe a child's friends have more of an impact on how he behaves than his parents do. I know a kid who has loving parents who do everything to prepare him for a better future. He teepees houses at night and does pot by the creek. Another kid with similar parents got arrested for illegally possessing firearms.

In this parent's case obviously I believe it would be best that she reprimand her children for using such language, but it isn't necessarily her fault. Don't always blame the parents if their children are messed up.

#657 - On 06/14/2009 at 4:00pm by jewelzgalore

hahahaha that is so fucking funny

#658 - On 06/14/2009 at 4:58pm by idele

I find this hard to believe but if it is true, you pretty much fail at being a parent.

Way to have a nice living environment in your house.

#659 - On 06/14/2009 at 7:10pm by cooorah

Holy Crap, I didn't even know these words until I was way in middleschool.
Can't imagine little kids talking like this.
I blame schools and tv.

#660 - On 06/14/2009 at 8:59pm by missshortstack

Haha, I started swearing pretty early. I'd love to hear that.

And really, it has nothing to do with parenting, for most. My parents never swore and I still said "fuck" with knowing what it meant at the age of six. I began swearing a lot, sounding pretty baller, I must say, at ten or eleven.

Oh, and guess what? At 6 I was at a private, nursery school. At 9, I went to one of the top schools in the U.S. At eleven, I went to one of the top schools in Canada. So, really, schooling doesn't have much to do with it.

I never curse in front of the rents or any adults, really, though.

#661 - On 06/14/2009 at 9:20pm by CandyKisses

I agree with you #659.
Ive been going to a private school my whole life and im not allowed to curse
but I do it anyway. And was taught not to do it.
I know alotta words, guess its just my friends.

#663 - On 06/14/2009 at 10:38pm by MIKENYC

you cant blame the media...i have yet to see one tv show or movie that says the word "cunt" in it. and its your own fault anyway if your children are watching such movie

#664 - On 06/15/2009 at 12:21am by dr_house_MD

alright, its not the schools. Its the people IN the schools, and the people their growing up with, and their influence on those children.

#668 - On 06/15/2009 at 4:25pm by kate74

Sounds like you should teach your daughter to not be such a fucking cunt, then we wouldn't have this problem now would we?

Seriously though, I was 18 the first time I accidentally dropped the F-bomb in front of my mom. She beat me senseless before I even got to "k". Love her for bringing me up right.

#669 - On 06/15/2009 at 7:36pm by WoodsMD

#676 - On 06/16/2009 at 2:53pm by buckeye91011

oh lord.. i can understand how it may be the parents fault, but give em a break.

possibly, they got everything from school/friends they hang around/places they go. you can't stop other people from cussing, so they might of just learned it from their surroundings.

its not always the parents fault, esp. if the parent doesn't cuss/didn't know the were cussing. whatever. i mean honestly, mainly all the cussing i do is from my school.

you can't accept that kind of language in your room
unless of course you USE that kind of language too then you are setting a bad example

#687 - On 06/18/2009 at 8:15pm by mixedchick

Wash their mouths out with soap. That'll teach em :) Just make sure they don't swallow it. Also it wasn't necessacarily FROM her, they could have learned it anywhere. Though they could probably use more dicispline. My little brother is really bad and it is because my parents do not punish him. I really wish they would. They punish my older sister and I for things that he would easily get away with.

So yeah. SOAP. (:

wow.. they sound like they came right out of that show South Park (favorite show eva!) Maybe Trey and Matt could higher them to do some of the voices he he

#715 - On 07/10/2009 at 12:01am by alyse0

This is hilarious. At these ages, they don't know what they're saying. That's part of why it's funny. I'm sure that the parents told them not to use these words. Lighten up, everyone.

#716 - On 07/12/2009 at 2:39am by TheStatue

I don't see the huge deal here. They're just words! Words which these children will learn eventually. The only real reason the words shouldn't be said is that tight wad sheeple would be offended by them.

#719 - On 08/02/2009 at 11:42pm by musicninja

Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS AWFUL!! I know kids learn a lot of bad language at a young age these days but 7 and 8!?

#720 - On 08/05/2009 at 10:25pm by ridiculous502

I laughed so hard at this! That's so funny. Just imagine when they get older! hahaha.

#721 - On 08/06/2009 at 2:34pm by caligrrrl

FUCK YEAH!!!! Dude get two bathrooms so that stupid cunt and that meat beater can get along that would be the right think to do.

#722 - On 08/10/2009 at 5:31am by jr5480

Holy crap! Where the hell did 7 and 8-year-old kids learn that type of language?! Do you just let them watch whatever filthy channel they want on TV, including the porn and R-rated movies you leave on when you pass out on the couch drunk? Or maybe they learned it from the things all the random men you pick up off the streets and at bars when you take them home with you and have drunk sex with them on the couch while they watch? Or maybe they learned it at school from their punk-ass friends and the gang-banger eighth graders, with whom you allow your kids to associate because you're too busy shooting up? Or maybe it's from the arguments you have with your husband, whom everyday comes home drunk and dirty, signaling the start of your obscenity-shouting contest? I don't care how far away from you the source of your children's language is, it's there because you neglected to keep them away from such filth. You're a terrible parent. I hope you're proud of yourself, because they're the product of all of the care and nurture you have to offer, which must be a pittance, judging by the sound of them. I hope you're proud of yourself, you inept, incompetent, negligent excuse for a parent. Teach your kids some manners. Maybe, if you REALLY try hard, you can minimize what they learn from the example you've set so far.

This just makes me worry about where they learned to speak like that. I'd look at the parents. Still, it's pretty funny.

#727 - On 08/30/2009 at 12:15pm by tonberryking01

YDI for bad parenting and sending your kids to a bad school. I hope you gave your kids a nice headbutt for that kind of language.

This is my favorite FML on the entire site. I read it to my girlfriend on the phone and was in such laughing hysterics -- like doubled over, snorting, wheezing -- that it took me a few minutes to get all the way through it...and it's what, two sentences? Jeez that was funny. Thanks for sharing.

#738 - On 12/11/2009 at 4:37am by OohAah01

#744 - On 01/15/2010 at 1:54am by dochoc

#745 - On 01/21/2010 at 7:40pm by lisatheshopper

All the kids yakking on about "parenting fail" need to learn just what parenting entails. It's not like kids wear earmuffs 24/7.
