Today, I excitedly told my brother I submitted a short story for a competition for the first time ever. His reply? "Congrats. I guess the first letter of rejection is a special occasion." Gee, thanks for that reality check. FML

Today, I forbade a student in the writing seminar I instructed from continuing to present his disturbing poems about demons. He responded to this by convincing nearly every other student in the seminar to write and read out loud several of his poems. FML

Today, my 16-year-old brother once again scored well at a local archery competition. He got home and, once again, unleashed his "spectacular aim" at the toilet - or rather the toilet seat and surrounding floor. He refuses to clean the bathroom we share every single time he does this. FML

Today, I submitted a poem for my English class. I had fun writing it, so I wrote a second which was not nearly as good. My procrastinator of a friend never did his, so I gave him my extra poem. Mine was given a 75% while "his" received a 93%. FML

Why on Earth has almost everyone criticized OP like this? She probably WAS happy for him! Sure the first couple of poems were cute, but after SOME amount of time wouldn't become AT LEAST agitating??? I get this FML isn't too bad, but less serious FMLs have gotten better comments than this. And FML community, what's with the higher FML votes and most negative comments...doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Either people have had a bad day, jumped on the band wagon, or this was a joke and it went over my head.

If this is all you have to worry about in life I think you are going to be just fine. save the space on this board for someone who actually can say "**** My life" all you should really be saying is "my life isnt so bad"
