How the hell do you get a cyst on your ass?
That must suck.
#3 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:02pm by QJD
...I don't get it. You had surgery. You have an excuse.
#2 - anything's possible.
and to the OP , that really sucks.
but atleast you have an excuse right ?
#5 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:05pm by rokai
Wow, that sucks. Thanks for letting me see my lunch again though!

they couldn't give you any bandages?.....
hahaha, man that sucks big time!!!! FYL
At least you'll have 360 degrees of protection.
#11 and #13 = Hilarious.
...At least now you know how unpleasant it is to be a girl.
LMAO, nice.
Imagine if someone heard you changing your pad in the bathroom... haha
Pad vs. cyst.
Come on now, which is worse?
And LOL @ 11 and 13.
Okay... umm... you have an excuse... That has to be a good thing. Right?
LOL to #11 & #13
ROFL. what kind did ya get big guy? Extra wide wings? Double layer'd protection? The sports kind? Don't worry..the flow is generally mild at first. You might get some cramping and aches in the rest of your body.
haha. that blows. "I'm a big boy now" Seems to fit a little. FYL
It's better than having cyst juices flowing from your ass.
lol #13. ha #17. Must be fun to explain to your friends. lol fyl
ouch. what's a cyst?
#20 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:19pm by helen_
hahaha sucks... at least u know how it feels
put some gauze on that shit!!
Seriously, you'll get over it. Worse things have happened to other people, at least you don't have to wear one for a longer period of time.
#24 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:22pm by _mcs_
WHAT THE F!? What have your been doing to your ass that you somehow got a cyst?
Let's just hope no one slaps you on the ass, that'd be an awkward conversation.
You had a cyst removed. That's a good thing. It's not like you had a heart attack. You're not even wearing a diaper, and your wound is healing. Suck it up and quit crying.
#20, are you serious? You don't know what a cyst is?
The cyst you got is a Pilonidal Cyst, I got one too. And I also had to wear the pad on my butt. It sucked but it heals up pretty fast, only a couple months until it was completely gone. Just make sure your shirt covers your bum, or there could be some awkward questions.
#28 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:27pm by silveredmelee
Well at least you'll be able to ride a bike and play tennis now.
Would you rather wear a diaper?
#30 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:28pm by goodnightgracie
Well, from a woman's perspective, you'll get used to it....It'll soon feel like it's not even there. And just be glad you only have to do this for two weeks, and not a few days out of every single month.
I had a pilonidal cyst removed many years ago. It's lame.
Don't tell anyone about it. They'll never let you live it down.
This is actually more common than you think. It's called a pilondial cyst.
Hahah and how does that make you feel? If it makes you feel better, you'll only have to wear it for awhile to get over your cyst right?
It could be so much worse at least you got rid of it mmmkay...
Umm...its nice to get in touch with your...feminine side?
#36 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:38pm by altoclef13
So OP you're whining about wearing a freaking pad?
Now you know how us women feel wearing one for ONE WEEK EVERY DAMN MONTH.
Would you rather not wear the pad AND STILL HAVE THE CYST?
I don't see this as FYL.Suck it up,quit crying and be grateful it was a benign cyst!
I had one of those 5 times. It sucks.... a lot.
^ It sucks to have a fist sized chunk of your back/butt removed and left open for 3 months. I'm guessing it would hurt more than any period.
Not true. The pain associated with having your period can be crippling. Sometimes I can't move, the pain is so awful. He can suck it up mkay?
erm yeah mine was open for seven months. its been closed for three, and its opening and infected again. sucks right? i ended up in the hospital for weeks at a time more than i would care to remember, it wrecked my body completely, im sick ALL the time now. on top of that, i have problems with my ovaries causing massive bleeding and cramps sometimes ALL MONTH.
I can tell you now, 203, that is NOT normal. Hopefully you've mentioned that to your gynecologist by now.
Well they say that is something more common in men so it was my surprise when I ended up with one the first time it just bothered me and I didn't do anything about it or know what it was the second time I thought I was gonna die it Hurt so bad I couldn't move without being in pain.
I guess you know how a girl feels every month :P
count yourself lucky that you aren't spewing blood, having cramps, and moodswings.
Why would you choose a pad over a tampon? Having a little rod up your ass can be an eye-opening experience.
I forgot to add when I went to urgent care they gave me an antibiotic and I passed out.... Twice. Scared the he'll out of my mom. And then not only was I in pain but my sisters called me pilonidal ass for the longest
Just wear loose shorts and no one will see.
Girls have to wear them every month for a week or so, so don't think yourself the victim for just 2 weeks out of your life when we suffer for much longer than that.
I won't say it's a FML or YDI since your life is not over and surgery is never deserved.
#43 - On 04/18/2009 at 2:50pm by Tresemmegan
I'm just gonna come with it and tell you that Always brand has the thinnest pads. No one will know you're wearing them, and they're super absorbent. :)
Bwahahaha, #13! That's so mean! Anyway, just to make you feel better, OP, I'm giving you sympathy, not like people here who are actually being assholes to you. (not you, #13, you're actually funny).
same thing happened to me back in November after Thanksgiving. I'm in college and a substitute HS teacher on the side. My cyst decided to drain itself in the middle of me teaching class one day
Lmao to number thirteen and twenty-five.
Those would both really suck.
You're lucky you had it removed 'cause pilonidal cysts are fucking agony if left too long.
#48 - On 04/18/2009 at 3:00pm by DeeJayD
Pilonidal cysts suck! I had the same thing happen to me back in November after Thanksgiving. Im a HS teacher. Before I could get to the doctor to get it drained, it decided to drain itself in my pants in the middle of me teaching a class... only after that when I went to the doc did he tell me to wear a pad.
Ouch, make sure to keep clean and change it often. Otherwise, you'll get a rash or yeast infection or etc. And there's really nothing more discomforting than that when you're wearing a pad.
that sucks.
but my dad wears nappies on a permanent basis, so your life is not as f***ed as his. btw, i'm 17 and he's 60 and he's doubly incontinent. so be thankful that for you, wearing a maxi-pad (whatever one of those is) is not permanent. :-)
really isnt that bad
youre wearing it so that it stays infection free
dont wear it and get an infection in it, then you would have problems
...I'm kinda ashamed to admit that before I had finished reading the FML my immediate thought was that the doctor cut off your scrotum.
i agree with #18
its less embarassinghten having cyst juices on your pants
thats not gona be comfortable
Every 12 year old girl is probably jealous of you.
hahaha sucks for you...
#60 - On 04/18/2009 at 3:28pm by jonj
i actually knw what you are going through, although i didn't have to wear a maxi pad. that must suck
yeah, same thing here, those fuckers leak like fucking shit though man, but yeah, being a guy and having to wear a maxi pad was a little demeaning, but i only had to wear it for a week or so. good luck though :D
Sounds like a pilonidal cyst, that blows ass
well, at least you dont have to wear a diaper....
2 weeks? My brother had an operation like that for a cyst on his butt aswell and it's still leaking some fluids after 2 months now. Good luck!
lmao #13
That sucks....but at least its just for 2 weeks.
At least you'll get better now and no one should notice, I mean, can people really tell when women are on their period just by looking?
Seriously? Open you mind and think outside the box a little.
Why re-invent the wheel when a super absorbent non-obtrusive pad with proper fasteners has already been invented. I would guess you haven't figured out that they use condoms at the dentists office to protect certain sensitive instruments when taking X-rays of your teeth.
Why complain when it is cheaper and more effective than anything else you could come up with for the purpose. Be glad your doctor is sensible and clever instead of charging you some ridiculous amount for some medical bandaging of some sort.
haha i had the same thing happen to me, usually its caused by an ingrown hair right at the top of your asscrack and it isint very fun, ive been to surgery 3 times for it in 7 years.... and yeah wearing the maxi-pad sucks...
I feel for you man. I have a pilonidal cyst and had to have it lanced a couple weeks ago to ease the pain. Now it's starting to flare up again and I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad since I have finals in a week and I can't afford to miss school. I'm just waiting until I get home so I can get it removed.
Well someone's not comfortable with someone's masculinity.
Maybe they should invent some for men, like they had to do with hair dye because men are embarased to buy they women's version
#18, lmao. cyst juices. hahahah.
omg..thats sucks!!
poor you..
=(
Oh, get over yourself. I agree with #37 and #68. At least the only ramaification was having to TEMPORARILY wear a maxi pad. It could be a hell of a lot worse. This isn't an FML or a YDI. It'd be no worse than if a girl had to wear it.
well, at least you get to experience something most guy never would, write it on your resume
hahaha, well now you know how we (girls) feel!! still, sucks for you. sounds really unpleasant. >.
#80 - On 04/18/2009 at 4:27pm by Newtons_Cradle
look on the bright side..... at least you don't need a tampon
#81 - On 04/18/2009 at 4:29pm by Newtons_Cradle
This exact thing happened to me just recently. At first I wore the maxi pads, but I had to get the surgery to completely remove it after it was drained and I actually had to carry around a pouch that was connected to my butt by a tube to collect the fluids. Definitely FYL.
Also its called a Pilonidal Cyst.
welll there is always positives and negatives to everything!
just look on the positive side , u no longer have a cyst on ur but!
#s 11, 13 and 17 ROFL! And that does suck. Couldn't they have given you a bandage or something else like that? Well, at least now if you get your period, you'll be protected! =P
Just like they always say... ULTRA ABSORBANCY.
What is with all the chicks yelling at the OP? Wearing a pad sucks, and it's a girl thing. That's embarrassing to a dude. Just because we have periods does not make us somehow superior to this guy.
Yeah, #37, you're guessing because you don't know.
Stop whining, you big baby. Women have to wear one for a week every month. Get over yourself.
#88 ... yes because wearing pads makes us feel surperior. :|
#37: you have no clue what cramps feel like think of it this way.
and this is every month.
someone trying to claw its way out of you
and then feeling fat
and oh then there the lucky ones who have to poop all the time.
yeahh, a cyst feel soo much worse than THAT. suck it up and be a man.
So? Who cares. God, some of these fmls I read and think.. Suck it up!
#94 - On 04/18/2009 at 5:02pm by indie_chick1
What's a cyst? I'm afraid to google it. Someone please explain to me what a cyst is. Sounds pretty gross..
#95: cyst: a closed sac that develops abnormally in some body structure
it does sound gross.
ewww, thanks for explainingg. :D
have you tried tampons?
#98 - On 04/18/2009 at 5:10pm by mimimi
I'll support the OP too. I also have a pilonidal cyst. Luckily it is higher up, more lower back than butt area, and the doc says that for now, as long as I keep it clean and have good posture, I should be good to go, but it might have to be removed down the road. For the girls saying this is nothing compared to a period, true, it probably isn't, but people expect you to have periods and to wear pads. However, it is a bit awkward for a guy to have fluids leaking down the backside and wear a pad there. So this isn't about discomfort. Its about embarrassment. Also, imagine having a condition where just sitting with slightly bad posture will leave an stain from fluids on your butt area. It is a constant condition, not just once a month. Going camping and sleeping on a hard surface? Can't sleep on your back. You can see how annoying that is.
OP, glad you were able to get it treated. Hope the recovery goes well and you can keep that pad hidden.
@37 - Obviously you've never experienced endometriosis before
#100 - On 04/18/2009 at 5:39pm by wut
Once on a trip to Atlanta, I ran out of undies, and had to resort to wearing women underpants. Needless to say, I feel your pain. But no one is going to know, seriously. Just put the freaking thing on, it's only what? A week? Stop being a pansy and grow a pair.
There's an obvious solution: just dont show off your ass... seriously...
I suppose a little bright note is that girls send their guys out the buy those things all the time, so no one will even look at you funny at the pharmacy/grocery store/wherever.
Thanks, I have a really nice image in my mind now
Hey fyi it happened to me too, though I never wore maxi pads, I just splurged on medical-grade gauze and medical tape (and went through a LOT of it)!
well now you know how a girl feels....i guess
not including the cramps, bloating, and moodswings.
but im sure a cyst is about equal to all of those right?!
haha well good luck!
That really sucks, and there's no way you deserve it for having a medical procedure done. I hope your ass gets better soon.
been there dude, but mine took a year and a half to heal, and they wanted me to get my college roommate to change the bandages for me. Little awkward taking pads to the bathroom with you when you share one with 100 other guys.
#27
nope. never heard of it
#111 - On 04/18/2009 at 6:54pm by helen_
i had a cyst on my butt it actually is very trucking painful esspecially when you have to pull the gauze out a few days later... i had to wear a pad for a month. Its better then wearing a diaper or staining your whiteys
eeek! I am sorry to hear about that! I am a girl and did have a Pilondial cyst as well and it is very very painful, but different then a period pain. I am sorry for anyone who has to go through it. I opted to get mine lanced the first time, but the second time, I just let it do it's own thing, and took a lot of herbs in the meantime so that I wouldn't get an infection. It really really really helps to wash with pure glycerin soap, and dry that area VERY VERY well. That's what I have been doing and it's been over two years since I last had one. Good luck and feel better!
It's...for a medical reason...so?
I've had the same surgery OP had, twice. It failed the first time, so the wound stopped healing altogether after a year of constant maxi-pad wearing. I'm still recovering from the second surgery, and that was almost a year ago.
Reading this FML made my day, in a depressing sort of way.
'I'm a girl, and am currently wearing a maxi pad. And I'll have to do it every month for the next 30 years. FML'
Anyway, get over it! :D
It'll only be for 2 weeks and then that's it.
ok guys its not that bad i posted this it doesnt hurt and it doesnt even bleed that much anymore.
OH MY GOD! SABBY! BAHAHAHAHA I KNOW THIS KID!
R U KIDDING?? u r lucky that u only hav 2 wear one 4 a bit cuz us girls have to wear them for like a WEEK every sing MONTH!!!!
and it will heal soon so just suck it up
To all the girls crying about how they have their periods every month: get over it, you should be used to it by now and can't use that excuse for every instance that you want to feel superior to a man.
I'm a girl and have regular periods, it's not a big deal.
A cyst on my ass? Yes, I think I would bitch about that.
I had one of those! I couldn't sit anywhere for like a week before I finally got it checked out. I named it Jen.
lol now guys know what it feels like!
OP- I know what you must be going through. I had a pilonidal cyst removal surgery (TWICE) however, I'm a girl so I have to deal with maxi pads anyway. I hope you recover nicely from your surgery!
Grow some balls and stop bitching.
#37 Clearly, you've never had to deal with cramps, I've gotten them so bad before, I couldnt move, and They're made me throw up before.
before you say periods dont hurt, maybe you should learn wtf you're talking about.
#126 - On 04/18/2009 at 10:01pm by xohunterjumperox
I'd just like to say something...
I am a completely different person...and this EXACT same situation is happening to me right now. The EXACT same thing.
#122: Who wants to feel superior to a man, we have to wear pads/tampons, it smells absolutely horrid and it feels horrible. You don't get used to shit like that, you deal. There is a difference. And what girl feels surperior to a guy for THAT reason. Oh yeah, blood comes out of my vagina I'm sooo much better than guys. Pshh yeah right.
And this guy is mad he has to wear pads not because of the cyst. TBH I think he cares more about embarrasment than the cyst.
I know how you feel--although I am a girl, I've had the same cyst for 2 years---I've had surgery twice and it still is there. Good luck my friend, btw--you dont have to wear a pad--that's really dumb--buy gauze at walmart and some medical tape--it works like a charm!!!
hope you get better.
NOW YOU GET TO UNDERSTAND GIRLS PAIN.
well, just how uncomfortable and annoying pads are.
Ahh. I laughed reaaaalll hard.
soon enough you can move on to tampons
much better but it hurts the first time
That sucks
But hey at least the pad will help... [hopefully*)
good luck with everything! =]
This THE funniest fml I have ever read, lol.
ugh, i know somebody else that had this problem. or something like it, but i lasted much longer and eventually she had to be taken to the emergency room. anyway, she's okay now.
oh wow, i just read that you're a guy. oh wow. that really really sucks. FYL!
#135 - On 04/19/2009 at 12:57am by curryndricegirll
We have to deal with meustration, cramps, and bloating.
Get over it.
#136 - On 04/19/2009 at 1:01am by yzarci57
130,
IMAO
Can you imagine a guy trying to use a tampoon. hahahaha
#137 - On 04/19/2009 at 1:05am by yzarci57
You have to wear a maxi-pad on your butt? Wow! Talk about a BUM-Wrap! I also hope you didn't have to go to the store and buy your own box of pads. That would be pretty embarrassing.
Your lucky I had one for about 3 years I wore a sock for the first year and when it got out of hand (cause I was gonna wait til I got out of school to take care of it cause the dr. Said it wouldn't get any worse(HE LIED)) I had surgery and had a HUGH "hole" on the top of my butt/lower part of my back......
That got infected and had to have another surgery and the hole was even bigger and they gave me these surgical pads but told me if I ran out maxi-pads would work just as well but they tried to have me wear this vacuum that would suck the fluids out but I opted not to but occasionally fluids would leak thru my pants.....needless to say I healed better and faster with out it......and thing are goin pretty good now......
i just have to tell everyone, that a pilonidal cyst cannot be compared to even the worst of periods. I am a girl so i do get a period, but i also had this cyst and i couldnt even move my body without being in excruciating pain. I myself would be embaressed to wear a pad just because it was for my butt. Its just an embaressment so i can see where the guy is coming from.
Eh its a pilonidal cyst and the remedy often calls for allowing drainage in most situations. Don't look at it as a pad look at it as an ultra absorbent bandaid for big manly men. Then brag about it to your friends!
it is gonna be awkward telling your gf you can't fool around cause your on the rag.
would you rather have anal seepage?
i'd think not
Ok dude what I'm about to tell you is very important. I had 4 surgeries within one year. Mine would get smaller then larger. There is a revolutionary procedure if it recurs. Of all the people who have gotten the procedure not one has had recurring problems with the cyst. It's called a CLEFT LIFT PROCEDURE. It helped me so much after months of pain and suffering. I had the surgery and was fully healed within a week and havent had problems since. Check it out!
i thought i was having such a bad day then i read this and im so much happier :) thanks for making me smile
at least you dont have to do it every month you ahole
#149 - On 04/19/2009 at 8:46am by efmivida
lmfao that happened to some guy i know. but he was on a date, and he had to be careful of the way he sat. it was hysterical
Suck it up, it isn't that bad, and at least your cyst is gone now.
please.... your life is not fucked up. my boyfriend had to do the same thing. would you rather still be bleeding from your ass even worse with the cyst still there? and so what if you have to wear a maxi pad? no one will see it. and if it is such a big deal, just pack it with gause and stop whining
Okay, seriously, who cares? It's better than having bodily fluids everywhere.
Hope you have more appreciation for females now, though, since we have to go through that for a week every month.
#153 - On 04/19/2009 at 11:51am by jet
All the ladies complaining about their periods in this post are pissing me off.
As a female myself, I have experienced both monthly periods AND a recurring pilonidal cyst. They suck. Major. I've had three surgeries and sometimes it still leaks, like if I'm sitting down for too long, it builds up from the pressure. Most of the time you can't sit right or lie on your back--after surgery I spent a week just lying in bed on my stomach. Pilonidal cysts can be a lifetime problem if not dealt with early on, and thus they're just as frustrating as periods that come once a month.
It's also an embarrassing problem, as oftentimes you need to keep that area (top of your asscrack) clean and free of hairs, which means shaving. Could you shave your asscrack by yourself? I don't think so. Same thing goes for changing bandages if you have the cyst lanced (the doctor takes the cyst out but leaves the wound open so it can heal 'naturally' from the inside out)
Sooo...not like periods don't suck, but clearly you don't understand the pain and frustration of a pilonidal cyst, either.

Now you sort of know how it feels.
FYL.
PS - Always is a great brand.
Hilarious, I just got a cyst on my ass drained two days ago. I can't sit down.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!! oh shit, that's funny.
idk about the rest of the females who commented on this, but i don't have to wear maxi pads every month..they have this new inention called a tampon..
I've had a pilonidal cyst removed as well. I had the surgery, rather than having it lanced, and my doctor still had me pack it with gauze until it healed from the inside out.
so i definitely feel bad for you.
Well when your in the store, saying your buying them for your girlfriend. lol
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! My new favorite FML!
at least you didnt have to wear it on your taint like i did. friggin cellulitis.
that happens. at least, it happened to Edge. (the wrestler)
This is a little bit sexist.
dude. i feel ya. samething happened to me :-(
was it a pilonidal cyst? man those suck!!!!! but why a maxi-pad? why not just get those surgery dressings?
i mean sure a maxi pad would be convenient... and no one has to know! except when you go buy them.
BAHAHAHAH IS NO ONE ELSE LAUGHING AT #103
OKAY EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ COMMENT 103 BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE MISSING THIS. APPARENTLY A DUDE CALLS HIS UNDERPANTS UNDIES!!! UMMM WEIRD? AND THEN PROCEEDS TO WEAR GIRL UNDERWEAR? AREN'T THOSE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE THEN? I'M JUST ASKING. I FEEL LIKE THE ALTERNATIVE WAS WEARING YOUR "BOXERS" OR "BOXER BRIEFS" INSIDE OUT OR GOING COMMANDO OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES BEFORE BUYING GIRL UNDIES OR WEARING YOUR MOMS!!!
Dude...that really sucks. Sorry about that, man.
When is anyone gonna see a Maxi Pad on your ass?
Lol @ #11 & 13
You have an excuse though and at least no one will see it's there.
#170 - On 04/20/2009 at 5:52pm by itsnotmuch
mine lasted 5 months. good luck with that. ps. i HIGHLY recommend Always Pantiliners.
You have to wear a maxipad? You POOR thing!
As a woman who's been getting her period since she was roughly twelve years old I have only one thing to say to you:
Tough shit.
Are you who I think you are??
sounds like a pilonidal cyst... a maxi pad is the standard dressing used afterward
it is also better than a tampon in your nose for a bloody nose... that is used
I had one of those cysts on my butt once from, ironically enough, laying in a hospial bed for a week. Cleaning the wound after the surgery is the most painful thing I have ever done.
HAHAHAHA. sorry, but welcome to what women get to go through every month.
dude those cysts suck. all i got was an incision... and i made sure i had enough percosets to last me the whole recovery. that pink stuff is the worst.
and women, u dont have to deal with a leaking INCISION... yeah ur panocha leaks every month, but not because you have a huge abcess sliced open leaking pus and blood
hey... this is not funny at all.. i had this done last year and it was on the top part of my crack.... not funny i also had to wear pads for up to 4 months , and sorry... when you have your leaky stuff everyone month women that dont mean you have to shower after every time you take a crap... it sux and it was the worst thing of my life... the medication that was 10x stonger then vicadin was nice though
why don't you grow a pair! i had the same thing involving 5 surgeries in 2 yrs ruining my whole high school experience. who gives a shit if you had to wear maxi-pads. so did i for a good 6 months including playing my whole sophomore football season with an 9 inch open wound! and having a cyst is very common. ur not the only one!!
yeah dude i had three surgeries on the same thing and it ended my high school football career so shit could be a lot worse for you
i had the same surgery done it reallyyy sucks. and it wouldn't heal for 7 months. but the best part is my mom told everyone i had surgery and they all wanted to see my cool scar! ...which was on my ass crack
I have crohns disease and i've had over 20 surgeries removing a recurring abcess from that region. your doctor just want to get a kick out of you wearing a maxipad. and It could be a lot worse. I had one with a cavity so large that it had 20oz of fluid. before my surgery i would black out from the pain.
Don't worry about it. Cysts are hereitary in my family and my older brother had to wear a maxi pad after he got his operated on. Its not that big of a deal.
I had to do that myself, and it flared up occaisionaly anyway so I had to keep pads with me for a few years...
I had one of those before, and I'm a chick. They're really common, but no one talks about them. They also hurt like a mother fucker and I swear to God, the pain from the cyst was worse than both of my children's births. Keep in clean back there.
hahaha yeah, i know how you're feeling man. i had this same kind of surgery done as well...
it's actually more common than you'd think.
lol dude, u cant complain for suffering for two weeks, i had something similar but it was larger than expected, i dealt with this for two years and spent over 6 months in the hospital having surgery after surgery, i almost didnt graduate on time and im slammed with 5000 dollars worth of hospital billz with no job, u got off easy.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
thank you ^.^
I had the same thing. I got the cyst on New Years at my friends house. Then had surgery on my birthday because that was the only day the doctor could do it. Then it didn't heal so i had to have a visiting nurse come every single day for 3 months. Then had to have surgery again. The only good thing was I was only 13 so my parents had to pay for it!=]
Aww, I'm sorry. It's not your fault, though. You'll be able to laugh about it someday.
I had surgery on my birthday too, except i had varicose veins on my leg and i'm only 17 :/ I had to wear a woman's stocking for a month cuz they ran out of men's stockings.
Now you know how it feels >:(
lols, seriously, woman deal with all the pain/periods/cooking/cleaning.
hahahaha, i had 1 of those, and i think its come bak, gota go to doc if few weeks. but mine wasnt left open so i didnt have to wear a pad or tampon lol. But to the girls, i think this would be worse then a period. periods dont leave half ur body numb for like a week. or unable to sit or lie down lol. with loads of puss/blood dripping out. yes i no there is blood in periods dont point that out haha. but hey man wearing a pad much better then a fkn cyst. and i got a week off work yew lol
whats the difference between a cyst and a hemroid? (sp?)
anyway, ha sucks for you. Pads are just annoying arent they. Be glad you don't have to wear them every month.
And there goes my breakfast...FML. I wanted to stop reading but this FML was like a train wreck. Wanted to look away, but just couldn't do it Dx
eh. two weeks now is better than several days a month for the majority of your life lmao
excuse me while i throw up.
ahaha they arent that bad XD and i have a cyst on my armpit its small so i dont have to really worry about it XD
Are you serious? This just happened to someone I know! (not joking)

Painful buggers and I wish them on no one. Sadly, it may never truly heal. I had one removed about 3 years ago (as big as a US 50 cent piece) and it still, to this day bleeds on occasion and hurts almost daily. Best of luck.
where's the who cares button? sucks about the cyst, but it's not like you're the only one who has ever had to put up with a maxi pad.
wow, after reading many female's comments about their periods, i guess i don't have it so bad. mine lasts for a week, is still a bit irregular [even though i've had it for 3 years], but i never get cramps, never get sick, & it's not super heavy. i can wear a pad a day & not leak one drop.
yeahh, probably tmi, but i don't care.
sucks about the cyst, i've never had one, so i don't know the pain of it, but it sounds quite unpleasant.
hope it doesn't come back though !
(:
I had the same thing. They told me to use those, too. I told them to go to hell and got 8x10 abdominal bandages and use those instead because it works just as well, is cheaper, and doesn't kill my pride as much.
LMAO!!!
I laughed really hard when I read this...
Oh well, at least you wont have to put up with it for several days for a month for the majority of your life, with cramps (headaches in my case) and moodswings :P xxox
This actually happened to my dad and it took him a week to figure out the pads made my whole house smell because he didn't wrap them in toilet paper when he threw them away.
Please build a bridge and get over it, girls have to put up with periods once a month. you have to put up with a cyst for 2 weeks.
pylanydal cyst. had one 5 years ago. it still hurts from time to time. i know your pain
