Today, after I was with my ex for five years before we split up because she didn’t want to marry, have children, or seemingly grow up at all, now a year later she has married some dude and is two months into their first planned pregnancy. I guess she just didn’t want to marry or have kids with me. FML

You are absolutely correct. Let’s be real. About 90% of people want to have someone to share their lives with. When someone says they don’t want a relationship, marriage, etc. it’s because they don’t want one with YOU. They want it with the right person for them, and unfortunately you weren’t the one. Now this don’t mean that you won’t be the right person for someone else. Imagine if you did stay with your ex. Imagine that you did marry her and she wasn’t happy. She did you a favor and saved you from a lifetime of suffering. One relationship ends so another can begin. And who knows, maybe the next one will be your match. Hurt, cry, scream, grive etc. all you want. Feel your feelings. Then time after time the pain will be less and you’ll heal. Good luck man.
