Today, my boss fired me for being on Facebook at work. He did it via a wall post on Facebook saying, "ur fired." Six of my friends liked this. FML

Today, I got fired from the job I'd had for eleven years for going onto Facebook while on the clock. When I got home, I saw that my boss had updated his status, from work, to "Finally fired that bitch." FML

Today, my boss yelled at me for visiting Facebook on my work computer. He says that since I can't be trusted, I'll be supervised from now on. I was uploading pictures to the company's Facebook page, which I have to do once a week as part of my job. FML

Today, I learned to keep your posts private on social media. Your boss might find your Facebook status updates saying, “I hate this shitty 9-5, I want to be on a beach with a margarita.” I got a call from him saying, “You’re terminated from the shitty 9-5, so you don’t have to anymore. Where it says "Too many negative votes, comment buried. Show the comment." click on 'Show the comment'. See the bit where it says -4, with the little thumbs next to it? Click on the 'thumbs up' and you'll be able to raise this comment all the way to -3.

Why would the friends have to be fired? OP said friends, not colleagues. Their friends might have had the day off, and even if they were at their respective workplaces, it's unlikely they were all working for the same boss...
