Today, I didn't have any money to buy a tampon from the dispenser at my school but my hands are small enough so I can just slide them up and grab one. My hand got stuck in the dispenser and my school had to call the fire department. Now everyone calls me "Tampon Girl." FML

Today, I was expecting my period. To avoid the embarrassment of everyone in the office finding out, instead of putting tampons in my bag, I hid one in my bra. It fell out while I was coming back from lunch. I am now known to all as "The Tampon Dispenser". FML

Today, in class, I reached into my bag to pull out a tampon, which I hid under my sleeve so I could make a quick escape to the restroom. My teacher yelled at me, because she thought I'd taken out my phone. I then had to prove myself by showing the tampon to the whole class. FML

Today, someone at work put their used, bloodied tampon applicator back in its wrapper, and into the free tampon bin for some sucker to grab. That sucker was me. FML

Today, I got my period and went clubbing. I had to change my tampon and stupidly I only brought one. When I unwrapped it, it fell on the floor. I had to wait in the womens' bathroom for 45 minutes for a random girl to give me a spare. FML

Today, I was in a bathroom stall and I accidentally dropped my new tampon on the ground. Just as I was about to reach for it, I heard a voice on the other side of the stall say, "Oh great, I needed that" and then a hand reached under my stall and grabbed it. It was my last one. FML

Today, I bought a box of tampons and went to the store restroom to insert one. I then put the box inside my purse. On my way out, I got stopped by security, who yelled at me to empty my purse. He grabbed my bag, spilling the tampons everywhere. Apparently, he thought I was stealing. FML

Today, I used the bathroom that the high school shares with elementary kids. As I was pulling my pants down, my phone fell out of my pocket into the other stall. As I was reaching for it, the little girl in the other stall took it and ran away. FML

Today, while at work being a waitress, I gave my customer his credit card receipt to sign. Instead of giving him a pen, I pulled a tampon out of my apron pocket and handed it to him. FML

i'm gonna be nice and give the other side: it's perfectly possible that she has a huge flow and already used a spare tampon, and just wasn't prepared quite enough. i personally have a menstrual flow like niagara falls (enough that my doctor thought I had a blood disorder) and i don't carry enough extra tampons for the entire day unless it's started already, not 'just in case'. i also don't carry tampons when i'm not expecting it to start soon, but periods can be tricky for some people. however, if the OP had asked the nurse or any friends i'm sure they would have been happy to spare several dollars or tampons.

Number #29, I'm pretty sure you need to learn that the number 1 is spelled one, and the won that you used is to win something. I am so glad that you, yourself, are "smart and sensible" maybe learn basic grammar before calling someone else stupid. The OP just made a bad decision, that is all.

Jeez people, if she had been stealing almost ANYTHING else, I would have said YDI too... but this is a fairly urgent issue. What exactly is she supposed to do, bleed on herself? Oh, I know, let's stop a random girl in the hall and ask her to dig through her purse for a tampon. Yeah. not embarrassing at all. And while tampons may not be much, if she doesn't have the money on her, she doesn't have the money on her. Give the girl a break. And for the record, it's not just the girls that are sympathetic. I'm a guy, and I feel really bad for you. Also #79, chauvinism is SO high school. Grow up.

YDI. you couldn't borrow one from a friend or gotten 25 cents from someone? what's wrong with you? do you have no friends at all?! do you not carry ANY cash on you? do you not know when you are going to get your period? : S and you should have just used toilet paper if that was really the situation. that's common sense. just wad up a bit of toilet paper until you get some money or go home : /
