Today, while ironing some shirts, my cat decided to hop up and investigate. To prevent him from burning himself, I instinctively moved the iron away and placed it flat on my other hand. FML

Did your cat at least stay to see if you were ok? If not, you better sleep with your eyes open op.

You didn't burn your cat and that's the best part, you're a good owner :3

Owner?... Cats don't have owners, they have servants.

Feed me as well and make sure it is tuna, the beef makes my breath smell bad.

Shoulda let your cat burn instead of yourself

I hope you don't have any pets.

Haha we all do dumb things without thinking lol but that is so funny

Better the hand then trying to answer it when the phone rings...

I suppose you're lucky that the phone didn't ring, you may have burnt your ear.

And the cat learned nothing. Next time, let him learn the hard way

Something similar happened to me a few years ago when my dog barreled past me and knocked an iron out of my hand. I had either the option to drop it on the dog or try and catch it, and I still have a nasty scar of my arm from where the side of the iron landed.

Ouch...did the right thing but paid for it...
