Today, wanting to break up with my boyfriend, I invited him to dinner with my parents. I was sure they'd hate him, which would give me the excuse I needed. They ended up loving him, and now they won't stop mentioning marriage. FML

Today, I finally worked up the courage to break up with my boyfriend. His parents weren't able to pick him up for 5 hours. I ended up taking him to a movie to kill time and end on a positive note, but now he thinks we're cool and back on track. FML

I cannot press YDI enough, listen the poor bastard probably thought you taking him to meet your parents was a good step in going further in the relationship. So for godssakes stop leading him on and just end it. Its the right thing to do. Clean break.
