Today, one of my dad's work friends came over. As he was leaving, he complimented my dad on having three "strapping young boys." I informed him that I'm a girl, and I have a hormone imbalance that causes me to have a lot of hair and a deep voice. I guess my dress didn't give him a clue. FML

This actually just reminded me of a situation I had when I was in 4th grade. I chopped almost all of my hair off, and I looked just like a boy. I had many, many strangers ask my parents about their "son".

Same thing happened to me when I was younger. Cut my hair and a lady in a grocery store thought I was a boy. Every time I go to get my hair cut now, I still think of that moment. Gotta love childhood traumas, lol.

You should try and get that hormone imbalance in check. Try going to an OB about it if your regular doctor wont help. They will put you on medication, usually either birth control of metphormin, to try and balance it out. Either way I hope everything turns out well. If you don't get it reversed ASAP it will only get worse and have a high probability that you wont be able to get pregnant later on in life.
