Today, my teenage daughter tried to convince me that the UK is a part of Canada. After I pulled out a map to prove her wrong, she got all angry and defensive, and said that nobody's perfect at "geometry". My daughter is an idiot. FML

My first thought was how the hell do you confuse geometry with geography? Then I reread the fml and realized... probably the same way you think the UK is part of Canada.

Maybe she heard that Canada and the UK are part of the common wealth. We have the same queen it can make sense if you see it that way.
