Today, my roommate who stays out til 4 or 5 in the morning each night got her key to the dorm fixed. I've been having to stay up nightly to let her in (my normal bedtime being 12:00) How'd they fix it? Turns out it was never broken she was just putting the key in the slot wrong. FML

Don't you hate it when they put it in the wrong slot?

you're tool for staying up to let her in, why on earth would you do that!? I would have laughed in her face if she would have asked me that

point noted. :] i don't really have the patience for that, either. she'd have to find a new place to live. |the kid|

1. You didn't bother testing the key yourself to see that she was just dumb? 2. You can still sleep, just have her text/call you or knock on the door when she shows up.

I agree with #69's second point. Also, I'm guessing growing a spine wasn't an option? No way I'm losing an extra 4-5 hours of sleep so some ******** can go get their drunk on. Don't be such a ******* pushover. Lol.

wow... you shoulda slapped some sense into that ho after the 2nd time this happened. either that or she can sleep in the hallway.

FYL for having to wake up in the middle of the night. YDI for not being creative enough to lend her your key.

^ Someone's bound to comment that it would make no difference. If OP gave up the key, they'd know the roommate was doing something wrong, and she would be taught how to unlock a door.

Okay. So if I was her roommate either she would have been coming home earlier or she would have just been locked out. It's simply.
