I realize tattoos can get pricey depending on several factors, but let's say the total rent is between $800-$1500 a month. Half that all on a tat.... FYL OP, hopefully you have a support system to fall back on or enough funds and time to get a new place. It doesn't sound like you can negotiate at all with the landlord.

it's fine spending that much on a tattoo. I'm planning to spend $700-$800 for almost my entire thigh go be done. BUT here is the important part.... The money I save for it comes after I pay all of my bills, especially the damn rent! if you're smart with your money then making a purchase like that isn't that big of a punch to your wallet.

I will never understand people who choose to spend their money so unwisely like that. like not only is he ******* you over he's also ******* himself over and getting himself evicted! "oh I know I'll get evicted but this tattoo seems so much cooler!!!" like??? how can people even be that dense

Seems to me like he has an impulse problem. Sometimes it is just better to suck it up and pay the rent by yourself and live poorly, than have extra money left over at the E.O.M. and have a roommate who is an ass. I won't ever have another roommate even if that means living in a shed, if I'm going down it'll be because of my own doing.
