How nice of your mother to ruin the meaning of what marriage should be. That's just shameful I'm sorry. I know not everyone believes in marriage but personally I believe someone should only marry someone if they truly love them and never divorce unless one partner commits an affair. Issues can always be worked out but affairs are one partner deceiving the other and going outside the bounds of marriage which is wrong. Hopefully your mom actually stays with this one.

Hate to burst your bubble but infidelity is far from the only thing that can ruin a marriage. Things like abuse (physical and / or emotional), alcoholism or any other types of addiction are among the many things that can destroy a relationship for good.
