I personally know someone who met a girl at a Friday night party freshman year of college (1st week) and married her the following Wednesday after applying for the marriage license Monday and waiting period. That is to say, sometimes people find/meet the right person and know very quickly. As sad as you are and your apparent expectations of a prolonged courtship, this just was not the situation for you two. Be thankful you didn't build a family together and split after years of an unhappy marriage.
