lentmarz tells us more.
The story behind this is that when I proposed to my ex, and she said no, I was devastated. I hadn't really gotten over her, but my family set me up and I went out with her to humor them. We had a nice night and had gone out several times since. As for the ring, the materials were worth about $4000 and I spent over 2 weeks smelting and hand designing it. I spent so much time on it, that it didn't feel right to sell it. Also, I have made the decision never to see her again. So yes, I ran.

This is why you should sell engagement jewelry quickly
First off tell her the truth. Secondly it must have been a good 3 weeks. With the way it sounds she's probably not too clingy rather she thought it that you both felt that these last 3 weeks have been great. I'm sure she will understand if you tell her the truth. Maybe even relieved because she had time to think it over.
From my personal experience, get out!
i sure hope you said no.
Run away.
Awkward! I'd love to see a follow up of how you got out of that one!
Run Forest! Run!
