Today, my friends and I went to the park for some planking. Trying to find a daring spot, I climbed a tree and laid down on a branch. While I was waiting for my friends to take a picture, the branch gave out. FML

Today, I went to the park with a girl I like. She got playful and climbed a tree, insisting I come up too. While we were sitting and enjoying the view, she suddenly knocked me off the branch, sending me crashing to the ground. FML

Today, my friend invited me to play frisbee golf with him. On my first throw, my frisbee got stuck on a branch near the top of a very tall tree. This is why I don't do sports. FML

Today, I was at my friends' farm and we decided that we wanted to go to their old treehouse. When we got down there, it turned out my friend Cat had forgotten her shoes. Being a gentleman, I lent her my sandals. I then climbed the treehouse, fell out, and got a nail through my foot. FML

Today, I went sledding with my friends. I said I was tired and didn't want to go, but they press-ganged me into it. I ended up sledding right into a tree, fracturing my leg, and scraping up my entire face. FML

Today, at school, I offered my friend $5 to climb up a tree and jump off. I was already having a hard day and just wanted a bit of a laugh. What I didn't expect was to end up in the hospital with a broken arm because my friend jumped on me. FML

Today, my father was pruning the tree in our front yard. I was helping him collect the falling branches. At one point, a branch fell and I was under it. My father jumped to push me out of the way. Instead he pushed the branch into my face. FML

YDI. I find planking to be, er, a little ridiculous. But, no doubt, some people must find entertainment from its silliness, so I can't truly all out bash it. However, you should've been more aware of the fact that planking generally leads to a dangerous situation, or an unfortunate accident due to trying to get the funniest and most thought out picture. Like that one guy that attempted planking on the railing of his balcony on the seventh floor...and died. ._.

yeah, planking is a really deep multi layered intellectual activity. just when you think you understand it, you realise youre only scratching the surface of its infinite meaning. but i know a master planker, thousands of planks under his belt, he has uncovered the true meaning of planking. he told me, its to lie down on things in difficult or photogenic ways. blew. my. mind.
