Today, My friend and I were stopped at a red light while it was pouring rain. We heard a screeching noise off in the distance and thought, "Hope someone doesn't get hit." Someone did get hit. We did. From behind. FML

#9 checking your rear view mirror is a good idea but it won't help at all if you have nowhere to go to avoid someone hitting you. The other driver was an idiot.

#33 - Because cars slide when it's rainy outside.

my car has screeched on wet pavement before. if you're going really fast and you start skidding you will start sreeching once your tires can touch down. it may be too late if you're already skidding towards the car at a fast speed before your tires can contact the ground.

thats whats called murphy's law

#14, I suspect they heard the screeching sound of tires, and thought "oh, that could be bad, hope no one gets hit" and the next thing they know they get hit from behind. Also, jokes like "that's what she said" and "your mom" CAN still be funny if pulled off correctly or given an amusingly huge lead up (see: xkcd 116)... but for the most part, they just induce eye rolls. :D

At least it wasn't from the front. Since you got hit from the back, you can get compensated for the damages ... given you collected the information from the other driver.

dude i had the same exact experience man we both got screwed over and the lady said that she never got into an accident out of her 20 years. total bs if u never did than u should kno better than to ever go faster than usual on a rainy day
