Today, My friend and I were stopped at a red light while it was pouring rain. We heard a screeching noise off in the distance and thought, "Hope someone doesn't get hit." Someone did get hit. We did. From behind. FML

#9 checking your rear view mirror is a good idea but it won't help at all if you have nowhere to go to avoid someone hitting you. The other driver was an idiot.

Wouldn't you have known if you got hit? Like, you know, feeling the car move?

how would checking your rear mirror help? I mean yeah you could see the guy coming, but if you're at a red light chances are someone is in front of them, and they can't go anywhere anyway. if they're the first in line at the red light, someone is likely going through the intersection. It's better to let yourself get hit, than to try and avoid it by risking hitting someone else. in the latter scenario, you would end up paying for the damage and having your insurance skyrocket.

#13 OP was hoping no one got hit BEFORE the impact. You typically hear teh screeching fo tires before you get hit.

the people who say deserve it can go **** themselves you are indeed ****** yeah they'll pay for it but depending on how bad it is it will still say accident on your insurance

#11! Omg we are definitely on the same page I was thinking the exact same thing... "from behind" was just about to write that too! . . . THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID! :]

I call BS. Tires don't screech on wet pavement.
