Today, my boyfriend proposed to me. My boss called me into her office and congratulated me, and spent almost half an hour asking me what our wedding plans were, where we might honeymoon, if we wanted kids, etc. She then followed this by suddenly remembering she had called me into the office to sack me. FML

Today, I went to my boyfriend's work to surprise him. When I got there, I called him on his phone to tell him to turn around. I saw him look at his phone. His co-worker next to him asked who that was. He replied, "Just this fat chick I know." FML

Today, I went to go meet my boyfriend at a restaurant to tell him it just wasn't working out. Before I could do so, he proposed. I had to tell him no, so he started to cry and ran out. Everyone looked at me like some kind of monster. FML

Today, I went to surprise my girlfriend, who was at work at Target, with flowers. I asked the employee at the entrance if she was there. When he asked who I was, his face lit up red and he started profusely apologizing, stating, “She told me you guys broke up.” before guiding me to her area. News to me. FML

Great job! So not only you now shirked your responsibilities by not providing the customer a timely service -for which you were actually being paid so you were cheating your employer too- you had the pleasure of personally insulting the customer! yay! Doesn't it feel great to say hurtful things like that when you are the one that's wrong?

I'm sorry, but it's unprofessional to have personal affairs at the workplace. ESP while you are working. The business you work for isn't paying you to get engaged, they're paying you to help customers. If your bf visits you on break, that's cute and also YOUR personal time. But, to propose while working? He shoulda chose another place at another time. If I were your employer, I'd have fired you. There are plenty of good, hard working people that need jobs & value them right now.. I don't see how this is an FML. You & your bf knew the consequences to being proposed to while you were at work. This is more like WTF? I'm sure ppl will troll on me, so troll on!
