Today, I went to the DMV for my second attempt to get my license. I did everything perfectly, stayed at the speed limit, did my three-point turn flawlessly, and parked nicely. The lady failed me because I wasn't using the stick shift right. My car doesn't have a stick shift. FML

Today, I drove 45 minutes to take my full driver's test. At the end of the test, the instructor told me I'd done everything perfectly, but had failed before I left the parking lot. I didn't see the "one way" sign at the entrance. FML

Today, I took my driving test. I was nervous, but I thought I followed the rules of the road pretty well. My tester ended up failing me for "backing out too slowly". FML

Today, I took my driving test. I had pulled out of my three point turn in a neighborhood and started driving again, thinking something wasn't quite right. The lady testing me looked over at me and said, "Sweetie, you're driving on the wrong side of the road." FML

Sticky situation

Today, I drove all the way to another state and dealt with Chicago traffic on the way just to learn to drive stick. I couldn't learn, because the truck was suddenly unavailable, and when it was available again, whoever had it last lost the keys. Guess I gotta make another trip. FML

Today, I drove my new car with a manual transmission for the first time by myself. I was at a stoplight and saw a cute guy in the car next to me. He looked my way and gave me "the nod". The light turned green and I tried to go but I stalled out, lurching my car forward right into the car next to me. FML

Today, I failed my driving test. Zero minor errors, one major fault. The fault was me thinking the road was one-way, positioned my car on the right lane to turn right, only to find out I was in the lane of oncoming traffic. FML

Not in every state. In my state, you only have to drive one or the other. I learned automatic transmission because nobody in my family owns a manual transmission vehicle. I'd love to learn, just for ***** and giggles, but I can't.

Where I live, if you learn automatic, you drive automatic until you're trained on manual, but you don't have to be trained on it. If you learn the stick shift, you can drive either. So you're wrong, my friend. Not everywhere's the same.

My instructor for my first test for my license wouldn't stop talking about how much he hated "rag heads" then said I ran a red when I didn't ( I was looking at the light and my mother even says I didn't) he also didn't give me the "points rules" then my second instructor said I failed after I complained about the first guy and he said the first one was his son. My mom took me to a different place and I passed.
