Today, I was late for an interview. Going into the elevator, a man ran up to the doors but since I was late, I pressed the "close" button. When I arrived to the office, the secretary asked me to wait. The boss walked in to interview me. The man whose face I closed the elevator doors on. FML

Today, I had a job interview, but I arrived kind of late. I was in so much of a hurry that I hit a woman walking by in the face with the door. I offered to drive her to the hospital. Turns out that she was going to be interviewing me. She didn't offer to reschedule. FML

Today, I was scheduled for an interview at a local firm owned by two partners. The secretary told me to be there at around 12:00 to 12:30 pm, so I arrived at 12:15. The first boss told me off for being early, the other one yelled at me for being late. FML

Today, I went to a job interview, and a guy ahead of me went to enter the building, only to walk face-first into a glass door. I rushed to help him up, and after we had a good laugh about it, I turned to walk inside, only to walk straight into the door as well. FML

Today, I got stuck in an elevator. The help-line told me, "Don't touch the door. We'll be there soon". Two hours later, I had a headache, my legs were stiff, and my date must've thought I stood her up. The tech finally arrived, pries the door open, then rudely asked, "Why didn't you do that yourself?" FML

Today, I had a job interview. I got there as quick as I could, having to travel two hours into a city I'd never been to. When I arrived, they told me I was turned down for being too late. They'd rescheduled the interview an hour earlier and I wasn't notified of the change. FML

You got what you deserved, asshole. I hope you didn't get the job. Did you ever stop to think that maybe the person who was RUNNING towards the elevator was late, too? How big of a deal would it have been to wait two more freakin' seconds? Or is thinking about someone else besides yourself too much to ask for?

don't think that just because he is late too that he would have let you slide even if you had held the door for him. if you're ever late for a meeting/interview call ahead and avoid having to be an asshat to save a couple seconds. the only way to recoup now is to point and laugh at him and ask how the stairs were. you never know.

Actually, most "close door" buttons are placebos--they don't actually work, but they give the illusion of control. You probably didn't do anything.

#49 er..i dont know what elevators u've been in but the ones i've been on definitely close when i hit the "close door" button and to the OP- DONT BE SO SELFISH what if u were late and someone closed the door in your face now that would be an FML. u deserve it
