Today, I was finally going to break down my social barrier by going out on a date with a nice guy I recently met on a dating site. Just at the start of the date, he asked me how old I was, and out of pure nervousness, I blurted out, "12!" I'm 24. FML

A great memory to tell your kids should it work out for the both of you.

Just be glad nothing worse was said I mean you could have really freaked out and got a restraining order or something lol

Kids 12 and under always get into places for free.

That's great. If he laughed it off and made you feel comfortable, he might even deserve a second date.

Ugh, another OP looking for sympathy. Call me an asshole, but these aren't good FML posts. This happens a lot with girls and boys for a first date.

I think he would have noticed the lie...but still you over came your social barrier that's a plus right?

You should have made it a joke and said, "...plus 12!!"
