Today, I was driving my motorcycle, and I noticed someone was in the ditch, so I went to go help them. When the ambulance showed up, they ran over my bike, totaling it. FML

totaled means that it is broken beyond repair. I think it that describes op's bike then regardless of whether it is a bike or a car he has every right to use that word.

OP doesn't need to use his insurance, that's the county's insurance that will be paying for that...and if they try to weasel out of it, take it to court
