Today, I sat on an elevator for 10 minutes thinking I was stuck. After waiting awhile I looked at the screen to see what floor I was stuck on, only to realize I hadn't pressed a button so I had just stayed on the ground floor. FML

Today, at work I got in an elevator to go upstairs. It wasn't until the doors opened minutes later and people stepped in that I realized I had zoned out and forgot to press the button for the floor I needed. I then promptly exited the elevator and waited for the next elevator to go up in. FML

Today, at work, my boss and I went upstairs to storage. We got in the elevator, I pressed the second floor button, and it didn't move so I repeatedly pressed the button. It wasn't until the fifth press that I realized we were already on the second floor. She thought I was an idiot. FML

Today, my building's elevators were temporarily out of service. I climbed up 17 flights of stairs only to realize I left my keys downstairs. After the painful climb back up, the elevator lights came on. FML

Today, I got stuck in an elevator. The help-line told me, "Don't touch the door. We'll be there soon". Two hours later, I had a headache, my legs were stiff, and my date must've thought I stood her up. The tech finally arrived, pries the door open, then rudely asked, "Why didn't you do that yourself?" FML

Today, I went into a shop, not really completely awake. To get to the upper floor, I took the escalator... in the wrong direction. After about 30 seconds (which seemed like hours) trying to climb up the wrong way, my brain started working and by that time I already had a few amused spectators watching me. FML

Oh, that sucks :/ I did that in a hotel once. haha there were two sets of elevators (1 from 1 - 13 and the other from 13 - 26) and I kept asking people "how do you get to level so and so" hahah it was embarrassing

This doesn't make sense. While thinking you are stuck, you never hit any more buttons or looked at the floor number? What would even make you think you were stuck? You didn't even try to push the Doors Open button! This is like thinking your car has broken down when you have not even put the keys in the ignition or touched a thing or looked at your dashboard. Did your parents have any kids that lived?

Haha, that sucks. That happened to me once at a movie theatre. I was in the elevator with a few friends standing by the door. After about 5 minutes I asked out loud why the elevator hadn't moved. One of my friends asked me if I'd pushed the button. I hadn't. Everyones done something like that, so all those people making rude comments, don't think you're any better. :)

At least you weren't "stuck" in a restroom stall panicking and freaking out about the locked door. Good job keeping your cool. When did it become hip to be all manic depressive anyway?
