The issue isn't the open relationship, but the fact that OP was unaware of it. Some people are cool with open relationships, and that is fine. However, some people are not cool with them, and deserve to know whether or not they're in one.

According to my first husband, honesty it's the main objective of an open marriage. If he's not telling his "girlfriends," then he's not being honest and he's just trying to bag as many women as he can. Lose the loser.
