Today, I met my boyfriend's family for the first time. I was playing with his little sister by grabbing her arms and spinning her around. On one turn, she started screaming in pain. It turns out I dislocated both her shoulders. FML

That's one HELL of a first impression.

the shoulders are supposed to stay IN the sockets? oh, oh dear.

that happened to me when i was little. my mom was swinging me by a foot and an arm and my shoulder got dislocated. my father called the doctors to find out how to get it back in.....he missed the first time he tried.....that part hurt the most.

My dad did that to me once. But it was only one shoulder. It happens so easily.

to those who are freaking out about how hard the OP was spinning her: it is actually very easy to dislocate a child's arm as the bones have not fully grown into themselves yet (for example, this explains why infant heads are much larger proportionate to the body than an adult head is). don't get the impression that the OP was being exceptionally rough, as she probably wasn't.

my dad always did that to me as a kid, and it was AWESOME. luckily my arm never got dislocated, but I neeever do that to kids because i'm afraid of that happening

OMG! haha thats brilliant. lmao omg poor u that must b awkward

I did this to my niece once and i was just pulling her arms to help her onto the bed...it's pretty darn easy to pull a child's arm out of socket... It stinks that that'll be their first impression of you though

Today, my brother's girlfriend was spinning me around and around, holding me by my wrists. All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain in my shoulders. She dislocated BOTH my shoulders. FML.

Hahaha, aw, don't feel too bad, this is really common. It used to happen to me all the time as a kid, and it never deterred me from wanting people to spin me. It happened so much the paramedics just taught my mom how to relocate them herself.

why would you do that! it's common sense..
