that sucks OP. I did the same thing once when I was a kid (with a brand new pair of diamond earrings my grandma had given me), so I'm extra careful now with my jewelry. My dad was able to get the earrings out from my sink though (and my mom confiscated them for a few years,lol), so maybe there's still hope for yours

that sucks, but you know you can get it out. The sink has a U bend in it for exactly that reason. You can definitely get it out, unless you turned the water on full blast or something, and it was a light earring. So, not really an FML, but I wouldn't say YDI either. it's not really that you are stupid, it's that you probably weren't thinking.
