Today, I had to clean up the urine puddle left by one of the regulars who plays the poker slot machines at the bar where I work. Rather than reserve the machine to go to the bathroom, she literally sits in her own piss to mark her territory. This happens about every second day. FML

ak_6694 tells us more.

Would love to ban her, but she puts into a machine in an hour what I earn behind the bar in 8, so they won't ban her anytime soon. And they don't have to pay the machine wages or anything; it's a little depressing to know the welfare and common hygiene of my workplace is second to gambling revenue. -OP

ther has to be a point of refusing service and/or calling the cops for public urination.

She shouldn't be allowed back in, and if your boss doesn't know what's happening, tell them!

They all know. Even the head boss, you know, the guy who runs the whole club. -OP

The security don't do anything about it?

Geez you mean there is more than one of those ??? Got one in Pennsylvania!

Thats straight up nasty! Weird old broad!!

I know someone who worked for a casino and he said people would crap their pants just to keep their slot

No complaints of putrid urine smell?!

To put it into context for non-Australians, I work in what is called an RSL club. It's basically like a sports bar, except much larger and designed to offer as much gambling as possible without being a casino. The bar is basically secondary to the gambling operation, and some machines make as much profit for the club in an hour than I do in an 8 hour shift behind the bar. So if I go to my employer "get rid of the Pisser or I quit"...smart money would say I'm out of work. -OP

If I were you, I'd quit. The reasoning behind it: if you wanted to clean up piss, you'd have signed up with a daycare.

Collect the pee and serve it in their drink!

how about "get rid of the pisser or you clean it up" not sure I'd want to work where I have to clean up someone's piss if I didn't sign up for that

Yes, but I need the money and jobs are hard to come by. It's good pay, so I have to put my dignity on hold. I'm just grateful that there's only been one report of her crapping on a seat (that I have heard of from my coworkers.) As for the pee idea...I like it. It is a good idea. A tip of the cap to you #88. -OP

The most surprising part to me is that none of the other customers ever seem to complain. -OP

#93, I don't wanna say which one it is because I don't want to spread bad word-of-mouth for my particular club, BUT I will tell you that it's somewhere in northern Sydney.

When I was in Australia I saw people doing this all the time in the RSL Clubs and in the bars! It's disgusting but it's all too commonplace.

Could you possibly get someone to deal with the singular issue of the one **** who has no willpower? Just letting her piss up the place is a horrible business model.

I feel awful sorry for someone who's addiction is so severe that they're willing to fester in their own waste. .... That being said can't someone be cunning OP and say maybe, "Hey you look like you could use a break how about i watch over your machine while you take 5?" Or something.... Or just explain that you can reserve a machine and you'll make sure no one else uses it, build up their trust in you?.. hmmm!
