Today, I got a phone call, and the person on the other line started speaking French. I assumed it was my friend since we usually speak French with each other, so I said in French "What do you want, asshole?". It wasn't my friend. It was a representative for the exchange program I'm applying for. FML

Next time ask before you assume. Because when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. But in this case, just you :P

#19- well if you really want an opportunity to respond in french: http://www.viedemerde.fr/ haven't seen an english comment on there yet

If you're expecting a call from a French study abroad program, then you should be paying more attention! Didn't you listen to what they were saying before you responded like that?

im surprised the representative didnt speak in english honestly

next time use "enfoiré" it means roughly the same but in a more polite way! Salut !

I know this has been said, but you should really recognize your friend's voice - and I find it hard to believe that a representative from an exchange program would greet you the same way as your friend would, especially if that's how you respond to your friend. Next time you're on the phone try listening.

Im curious to know what the hell they said. You say they started speaking, but what did they say that made you think it was your friend? Obviously you werent even listening. Idiot.
