Today, I found out I'm being sued by the man whose life I practically saved a month ago. He says the way I pulled him out of the car he was trapped in has left him with permanent back problems. FML

Hey everyone, This happened while I was driving in the United States. Also if I hadn't helped him, there would be no chance of him being alive today.

This sounds like the scenario from The Incredibles, except that Mr. Incredible saves the guy from jumping out of a building.

It'll get thrown out. Then you can counter sue.

He should be a happy ****** that is stillalive, well that is inconsiderate people for you.

I have heard of a lot of people doing that now a days there was one in the news a guys saves a woman from a burning car and she sued him because she had a permeant problems spine problems or something. so lesson is if someone is in trouble let them die.

I'm guessing what he really needs is a shrink and a pain/disability support group. Sorry you're the scapegoat, OP, but the "practically" does make me wonder how much danger he was really in, and whether you got stressed and acted without thinking.

I'm glad Canada has a Good Samaritan law that appears to cover situations like this, per several posters above. Sucks that you'll likely have to pay a lawyer to defend you though. :-( (Dunno what the laws are in Canada--could you maybe countersue him for the costs of your defense?)

Not again. Another version of a fisherman saved a drowning man (who ended up loosing one eye). Put that dude in the help-get-me-out-from-the-car situation again and let see what he got to say for himself. LMAO.
