Today, I fell asleep and dreamed that I had won $500,000. In my dream, I used this money to buy a new MP3 Player, and then put the rest in a term deposit. Even in my dreams, I'm the most boring person I know. FML

Oh I have plenty of boring dreams. I like it. When I have a superhero dream I always wake up stressed from the responsibility of having to save the world. I prefer the boring ones.

that's not boring, that's smart. If I won 500,000 I'd go on a trip to Europe, buy a house and put the rest into a savings account.

Not boring, but dumb and rich perhaps? I'd use the money to make a down payment on a house, pay off loans, upgrade my car and save the rest. Count yourself lucky... rather than boring.

In the USA there are plenty of homes for less than 500k, the one I live in is one of them. I'd love to buy a new house for around 200-300k if possible.
