Today, I failed my road test. The DMV worker said I looked in my rear view camera while parallel parking. I don't have a rear view camera. Only two more months until the next test. FML

go to a drive school and do a test right away. make sure to go to one that works with the DMV and it'll cost about 60$.

I was watching behind me, switching between looking over both my shoulders AND using the backup camera on my test yesterday, and when he told me to pull away from the curb i checked the mirror but didn't look over my left shoulder because i had been while parallel parking, and I was failed for that :|

You should always look over your shoulder, you definitely deserved to fail for this. The 4 seconds it took you to shift to drive and turn your steering wheel are enough for a cyclist or a car to move from somewhere, where you couldn't see them before, to the side of your car, where you would hit them.

Except the last part of parallel parking is pulling forward? So they was already in drive while they were looking.

Shorter wait than around here. My sister's fiancé failed because he couldn't get the right distance at stop signs. Either over the line or too far from it. He has to wait four months before he can reschedule
