Today, I dislocated my shoulder. My doctor failed to fix it, but did succeed in practically dislocating the other one. FML

At least he wasn't amputating it and getting the wrong one

You may want to consider looking for another doctor.

I say YDI for not telling him which shoulder but if he's one of those Doctors you know the one who thinks you're a dumb ass when you say the pain is in one area and they poke and prod another

If the doctor's got a medical degree, he should be able to recognize the obvious deformity that comes with dislocated joints. Seriously, google 'dislocation' if you've never seen one before, they're not easy to misdiagnose.

Ouch!! Sorry about that OP. I dislocated both of my kneecaps on two different occasions and I know how bad a dislocation can hurt. Get well soon...

I totally would, if he'd stop changing his damn location and tell us where he practices! :P lol

There is no "practically dislocating it". It either did or didn't wimp

Wrong. There's a thing called 'subluxation', which is the incomplete or partial luxation (also known as dislocation) of a joint. It's easier to reduce, but still very much painful.

Actually a partial dislocation is called a subluxation.

Maybe it's time for a new doctor.........
