Wouldn't they have had to shovel your driveway to make their getaway?

I feel like someone was doing you a favor, at first, other than ransacking your house trying to find a shovel.... Perhaps you should keep your shovel in a more accessible place?

Such a nice gesture of them to shovel a path to your driveway for you, that has to be ground-breaking!

That's why I keep my shovel locked away in a safe this time of year. Then I just shovel with important documents, family heirlooms, jewels, or bags of cash with dollar signs on the side.

Sounds like something neighbors would do, someone living within a short distance who can scope out your home and know when you're not there. You might do a little scoping yourself and see if there's anything suspicious that can be used to help the police investigate.

Now that's what we call dedication!
