Today, as I was driving, a bird swooped down, right in front of my car. I didn't have enough time to react, and so I had to listen to my wife cry the rest of the way home. She kept talking about how it bounced off the windshield and how it probably had a family. FML

I can understand getting upset in a situation like this. However, crying about it for an extended period of time is a bit excessive. It sucks, but things like this happen :/

Tell Snow White it's going to be fine.

whenever I drive I'm always scared I'm gonna hit a bird. whereas my cousin ran over a bunny & didn't even react.

That is honestly exactly how I would have reacted, but you do have my sympathies!

don't ever try to swerve to avoid an animal, its far better to kill and animal than swerve into a tree or another vehicle. it can save your life

I would totally be that wife, except that I acknowledge it was not the drivers fault, but the birds ... I can't help but cry at stuff like that ... and no, I really don't eat meat bc I think about how it got to my plate. it's tasty, but ... yeah ... I know, I'm weird. I'm okay with that. I'm sorry you had to listen to that. hopefully she was not trying to make you feel bad about it ... just getting out the emotions it brought to her.

Not your fault. The bird was suicidal. Seriously, OP. It had the whole sky to fly around in and chose to fly in front of your car.
