Today, as I was driving, a bird swooped down, right in front of my car. I didn't have enough time to react, and so I had to listen to my wife cry the rest of the way home. She kept talking about how it bounced off the windshield and how it probably had a family. FML

I can understand getting upset in a situation like this. However, crying about it for an extended period of time is a bit excessive. It sucks, but things like this happen :/

As Bernadette from the Big Bang theory once said YOU KNOW BIRDS CAN FLY

My best friend is like that even when a kill a fricken grass hopper and it bugs the living hell out of me

My girlfriend would totaly do the same:/

I've killed 4 birds so far with my truck and I don't even try.

Either buy her chocolate, or buy her chocolate and a baby name book. Either way, for the immediate future you are screwed.

This has happened to my boyfriend and I, but he understands that I get very emotional when animals get unnecessarily or unexpectedly hurt. OP, I'm sure your wife was caught up in surprise and wasn't blaming you, as I'd cry in the same situation but not be angry with my bf.

I'm assuming you all aren't hunters

I hit a bird recently too. It flew right out in front of me and I had no time to react. It also bounced right off my windshield.

Evolution needs stupid ones to be wiped out. You just helped its species.
