They're all yours

Today, I was having a garage sale and my mother-in-law came by to see what I was selling. She decided to buy these ugly green wine glasses that were still unopened. It turns out that she gave those to my wife and I when we got married. FML

I don't think some of the people commenting on here are married, or understand wedding gifts. At larger weddings, you often have someone open up your gifts for you and write them down. Then you send really insincere notes to all the gifters and generally never use half the stuff people give you because no one ever thinks to check your registry and gets you useless crap instead. Then they go in a box somewhere until you find them years later when you move and don't know how the hell they got there.

People say stuff like, "don't regift!" and YDI for re-selling ... but if you have something you don't want, what are you supposed to do with it? Keep it and let it take up space just because you feel bad getting rid of it?

say they got there by accident you had no clue the shot glasses were outside in the yard sale

Green? Classy. Maybe she's a fan of the Hulk? You mix the two colors in there...

Find those exact glasses online or whatever & display them in ur kitchen, next time she comes over she'll doubt if she bought her own gift or not

Make an excuse that you got the same gift from someone else.
