Earplugs maybe?

Today, I realized that my mother's voice triggers my misophonia. I don't have the courage to tell her that I literally hate her voice, due to a hearing disorder, because I don't know how to say it without sounding like a douche. FML

I don't think you should say anything. you can't help it and your mom can't change her voice. you've gone all your life without telling her so I wouldn't start now. I would talk to a psychiatrist and work on it.

There is no way to say it without sounding douchey. Luckily, there is a simple fix. 1. Get hearing aids that filter voices. 2. For your mom's voice, use a **** star filter. 3. Every time she talks to you, you'll get a raging boner. Soon, she won't talk to you at all. I hope this wasn't too obvious.

Better still, with you misophonia, the **** star filter might simply turn your mom's voice into something bearable.
