The good thing is your mum doesn't have a say unless she is the one dating your girlfriend. Her opinion is valid to her, your choice is to either hear her or leave her be. Your relationship and partners are no way regulated to be liked and accepted by your family, they do t have to live with the choice, you do. Only your girlfriend and you can make that choice.
