Today, I got out of a psych ward. I lied and said I was better, just so I could leave because it was that awful… but the truth is that I'm worse than when I went in. FML

Maybe find a different psych ward somewhere else? Like I recognize and empathize that this psych ward made your mental health actively worse, but I don’t think that dropping treatment is going to help you any, you know? Best of luck and I hope things get better

Statistically speaking you are all correct actually being put into a psychiatric ward situation when it is unnecessary will make the patient far more unstable, psychiatric wards are meant for violent and dangerous mentally ill people not people who just need help.

That is pretty untrue about how psych wards are only for dangerous people. From my experience working in psych hospitals for years now most people are there to get help. Obviously there's still dangerous people
