Today, an ex-boyfriend of mine came to the jewelry store I work at to pick out an engagement ring for his girlfriend. The same guy who just a few months earlier ended our 8-year relationship because I wanted marriage and he didn't. FML

While it sucks, and I get it...sometimes things just don't work out because two people aren't compatible. You should be happy that you're free to find the right guy for you.
