Nice try

Today, my boyfriend treated me to a surprise romantic dinner, got me a huge balloon bouquet, a dozen roses, and a beautiful card for my birthday. Too bad it's his ex's birthday and not mine. FML

Shut up and enjoy it. Next week, tell him about his error and you'll get double dinners, double flowers, etc. this year. Sounds like a plan, doesn't it?

:( It was a simple slip of the mind. At least he still did something really nice and sweet for you! :)

Oh ,god! He's still in love with his ex

My boyfriend got my birthday wrong in conversation, once. He thought MY ex's birthday was my birthday.

I'm sure his intentions were good. It's actually quite easy for things to get jumbled up in people's minds sometimes. You have to admit, his gesture was very sweet. And at least now you'll know what's in store for your real birthday

Tell him at the end of the day then say your real birthday

Hmmmm a whiff of rat? Unless this guy regularly is so thoughtful, could be a guilty conscience. Remember the old "cheat = unexpected flowers"? Hope that's not the case, but keep your antenna up, OP, just in case...

Hello?!! It's not her bday! Thats a big mistake! Why should she enjoy what's not really hers?! If he was so in love w/ his current GF, he would know HER bday.

Here. Take the roses and shove them up his ass. take the card and lite it on fire. ? When you push his ex off a cliff and there's no choice but for you to go, eat like a hog, and embarrass him by throwing food at him. Get the ballon and pop it so close to his ear, he loses hearing. Hope you had an awesome birthday, harrassing your now ex boyfriend! =)

Omg it's not that serious. He made an honest mistake and got two dates mixed up. It was a very sweet gesture and I'm sure he'll make up for it on her real birthday.

Umm, pretty sure there has already been an incredibly similar FML posted in the past few weeks? Either way, on the one hand OP, just be grateful he's spoiling you when he clearly thinks it's YOUR birthday and yet on the other hand, I can see why this would bother you - I would certainly question it
